Nope. The invasion was just the Russians acting like the Russians. Try remembering, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, and Afghanistan if you want your memory to only strain as far as many of us have been alive. These too, were able to rid themselves of the Russian Soviet surge. If Ukraine falls, next on the list for Russia is the retaking of Poland, Slovakia, Latvia, Estonia, and Moldova, as they try to reassemble to old failed Soviet, and then of course Western Europe. There was no winning of the Cold War, just a stall, change of name and change of projected timelines. They are just as untrustable to stay in their country now, as when they were the Soviet Union. It is in their historic DNA, to be an international pariah and danger to any country bordering.
