A lot of the foreigners especially from the Euro Asia area have far superior mathematical skills.

Math is taught as almost 80% of the curriculum in the grade schools there.

Peripheral subject matter like history and geography come in in the later grades after the kids have formed a basic foundation for the understanding of mathematical principles.
