The inspector general for the U.S Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) will investigate whether the federal government helped fund Planned Parenthood’s organ harvesting scheme, according to news reports released Tuesday. The HHS inspector general announced its investigation in a letter responding to inquiries from Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and nearly three dozen other U.S. senators.

The new investigation comes on the heels of a series of shocking undercover videos filmed and released by the Center for Medical Progress. Those videos showed multiple senior executives for Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider, haggling with prospective organ buyers over the prices of body parts harvested from aborted babies. In one of the videos, a Planned Parenthood medical director says she needs to get a good price because, “I want a Lamborghini,” a reference to an extremely expensive luxury car brand.

so how many MILLIONS of taxpayer $$$ are the Establ Repubs doing to waste on this Staphanie?

Sure, doesn't surprise me that you're anti-science. The babies were aborted and should be used for science with their parents permission.

Not only were the parents not informed they weren't even cut in on the profits. In fact they had to pay to have the procedure done.

"... Mengele posed as a doctor in order to conduct experiments on unsuspecting pregnant women.

"Mengele, perhaps in denial, would vehemently dismiss the charges leveled against him until his death in 1979. When his son, Rolf, traveled to Brazil to meet Josef, and confronted him about his actions at Auschwitz, Mengele exploded, insanely dismissing the claims as "propaganda."

"Mengele's exploits as a Nazi scientist were both demented and pointless. Even a dedicated devil's advocate would be hard-pressed to discern any semblance of value. Still, there is an illuminating lesson to be gleaned from his example.

:The scientific method is morally neutral. Technically sound science can be conducted for evil purposes, as well as good. But in a free, democratic society with unhindered access to information, the people can decide for themselves what is right and what is wrong. The ethical controversies in which we are embroiled -- over stem cells, abortion, and animal research, for example -- they are occasionally irritating, but at the same time, heartening. These disagreements prove that American science has a conscience."

They paid, the state paid, the feds paid, the babies paid, and the vendors paid as well.

It's a great racket.

A shiny object (dog & pony show) to divert attn away from the fact that the Teapubs in Washington are bought-and-paid-for, water carriers for the people that REALLY matter to them (it aint you stooges :eusa_shhh: )

You people are pathetic. Is it any wonder they get their Primaries labeled "clown car" shows?

I've been saying this for weeks - that NIH and many others (CDC comes to mind) also use donated human tissue in their research.

RWNJs want to pretend that PP is the only source of this tissue but every major hospital also collects and "sells" tissue.

Its not only legal, its none of your business.

How long before these meddling jerks demand an end to all organ donations?

What Stephanie doesn't realize is that the NIH is part of the "Fed," so the anonymous author(s) of the Federalist article are essentially saying "the government is investigating itself."

What Stephanie also doesn't realize is that the anonymous Federalist article and a blog that's copied it are the only sources for this "story."

We must now prepare for Stephanie and her fellow travelers to be OUTRAGED when this story doesn't turn out the way they're hoping it does.

And your response is so predictable also.

Why stop at the mothers permission...since she can be underage and can't be held to legal contracts.......and since the father has no say he isn't even part of the equation......

If you're her friend, maybe you can give her a little advice about citing primary sources, if either of you actually know what that means.
