Federal Judges Block New Texas Congressional Map.

The panel of three federal judges in El Paso, in a 2-to-1 decision, sided with civil rights groups that had sued to invalidate the map, which was part of Texas’s aggressive mid-decade push to draw new congressional boundaries at Mr. Trump’s behest.

“The Court orders that the 2026 congressional election in Texas shall proceed under the map that the Texas Legislature enacted in 2021,” the court said, issuing a preliminary injunction barring the use of the map drawn this summer.

In a 160-page opinion, the court found that “substantial evidence shows that Texas racially gerrymandered the 2025 Map.” The court cited a July letter from the Justice Department to Texas lawmakers, focused on the racial makeup of districts, in which federal prosecutors said the state’s existing map was unconstitutional because it included districts where no ethnic group had an outright majority. The court said that was a “legally incorrect assertion.”

Of course, if the case ends up being decided by the TX SC it will ignore the evidence of racial gerrymandering and find for the R's.

there is no evidence of racial gerrymandering.

there is no evidence of racial gerrymandering.
A panel of three federal judges has blocked Texas from using a new gerrymandered congressional map in the 2026 election, dealing a significant blow to President Donald Trump’s national effort to rig the midterm vote by creating more Republican congressional seats at the expense of minority voters.

Hours later, Texas appealed the ruling to the U.S. Supreme Court.

In a scathing opinion, Judge Jeffrey Brown, a Trump appointee, wrote that the Republican attempt to redistrict was not just about politics. Rather, “ubstantial evidence shows that Texas racially gerrymandered the 2025 Map.”

When he shows that race had anything to do with it, with evidence and not just theory, ill believe him

Nope, does it show that race was the reason for gerrymandering?
Explain why you felt like you could declare “there was no evidence” when you haven’t looked at the evidence?

Ill give you my answer as soon as someone post the evidence that it was racially motivated.

You've already been provided with the court's decision that discusses such evidence.

This is the Illinois district Texas Dimwingers fled to to protest gerrymandering.

Ok, so i think I found what i was looking for.

They cited a letter from the DOJ that said there were too many non-white districts. Now ask yourself, why do you think the DOJ would send that to Texas where, undoubtedly it would eventually be discovered?

Here's your answer:

80% to 90% of African Americans vote Democrat. That is your reason. Its not about hating black people. I promise you, if the a significant portion of black people voted republican, they would have been included in the new maps.

They want votes, they dont care about the color of the skin of the person that gives it to them.

Also, let's talk about the other side, california. They just approved a resolution to redistricting there to give democrats more seats. Now, how do you think they did that? Considering the majority of republicans voters in california are white, they will have to draw maps to put white voters in their own smaller districts. Are you going to say that is racially gerrymandered as well?

Either because they're not very smart or they're emboldened enough to know that Trump's conservative majority on the Supreme Court will let them get away with basically anything.

15th post
We are ruled by unelected judges. A president is subservient to the Judicial and legislative branches of government. Unless of course the president is a democrat

Russian collusion didn't work, Flu, stolen 2020, jail, court cases, phony rape stories all failed.

All they have left is slowdown, money wasting by Courts + the Epstein Hoax in progress.//

‘Extremely unlikely’

In his opinion, Brown cast doubt on the Republican narrative about the motivation for the gerrymander.

In particular, he slammed several Republicans who testified during the nine-day hearing, finding that mapmaker Adam Kincaid and State Sen. Phil King, who led the Senate’s redistricting committee, were not credible witnesses.

Brown discredited Kinkaid’s testimony that he had drawn the 2025 map “blind to race,” writing that he found it “extremely unlikely” that the mapmaker could have created congressional districts with that specific racial makeup “by pure chance.”

The judge also pointed to troubling discrepancies in Kincaid and King’s testimony, particularly how the two men recalled their conversations differently.

“The number of inconsistencies regarding potentially critical exchanges between the Chair of the Senate Redistricting Committee and the person who drew the 2025 Map makes us doubt the veracity of Chairman King’s testimony,” Brown wrote. “For the foregoing reasons, we do not credit Chairman King’s testimony about the Legislature’s motives.”

Solo federal judges are Kings
