Federal Judges Block New Texas Congressional Map.

They promised to secede when a Black President was elected. Go already!!!
To those who exist on color or gender, it's on them. The other things like integrity, character, ineptitude, corruption, extremism, etc. seems not to matter to many like yourself.

All in due time...no worries.
You mean justice will prevail? So the new map is disqualified? Not if TX courts get involved.

In a 5-4 decision along traditional conservative-liberal ideological lines, the Supreme Court ruled that partisan redistricting is a political question — not reviewable by federal courts — and that those courts can't judge if extreme gerrymandering violates the Constitution.

The ruling puts the onus on the legislative branch, and on individual states, to police redistricting efforts.

"We conclude that partisan gerrymandering claims present political questions beyond the reach of the federal courts," Chief Justice Roberts wrote for the conservative majority. "Federal judges have no license to reallocate political power between the two major political parties, with no plausible grant of authority in the Constitution, and no legal standards to limit and direct their decisions."

Which means this lower federal court just ignored the Supreme Court.

Ruh Roh. GOP opened a pandora's box.

Who said that California's redistricting was race based? They say it was politically based.
/----/ The DOJ.
California redistricting race-based
The California redistricting case has been a significant legal battle, with the Justice Department filing a lawsuit against Governor Gavin Newsom and Secretary of State Shirley Weber's redistricting plan enacted through Proposition 50. The lawsuit alleges that the plan mandates racially gerrymandered congressional districts, violating the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. The DOJ argues that the redistricting scheme is unlawful and unconstitutional, stating that race cannot be used as a proxy to advance political interests. The case is a response to Republican-promoted gerrymandering in Texas and other conservative states, and it has sparked a political debate about the implications of race-based redistricting in the United States.

Supreme Court Rules Partisan Gerrymandering Is Beyond The Reach Of Federal Courts

Like I said.

So they have already ruled this judge can’t do what he did.

Got it.

Federal court blocks Texas from using new congressional map for 2026 elections

Washington — A federal court on Tuesday blocked Texas from using its newly redrawn congressional map in the upcoming 2026 midterm elections.

In a decision authored by U.S. District Judge Jeffrey Brown, the court ordered the state to instead use House district lines adopted by the Texas legislature in 2021 for next year's congressional elections. The dispute was heard by a three-judge panel, which divided 2-1 in finding that voting rights groups that challenged the map were likely to prove that the 2025 map is an unconstitutional racial gerrymander.

It ain't over 'til it's over with the SC in Don's back pocket. The thing is, the court's conservatives may have put themselves in a box by ruling a few years ago that matters of redistricting are not within their purview.
Then they would also have to ban california from doing the same
