Yes folks, the SUPPOSED VIOLATION OF Constitutional rights by ONE FUCKED UP UNELECTED JUDGE MAY KILL US!!!

The Hill ^ | 09/05/19 | Zack Budryk

The federal government has violated the rights of more than 1 million people by placing them on a watchlist of “known or suspected terrorists,” a federal judge ruled Wednesday.

The plaintiffs, 23 U.S. citizens, argued, with the backing of the Council on American Islamic Relations, that they were wrongly placed on the list, causing “a range of adverse consequences without a constitutionally adequate remedy.”

The plaintiffs, ruled U.S. District Judge Anthony Trenga, “have constitutionally protected liberty interests that are implicated by their inclusion” on the list, and the Department of Homeland Security process by which people listed on the watchlist can challenge their inclusion “is not constitutionally adequate to protect those liberty interests.”

Trenga, a George W. Bush appointee, added “there is no evidence, or contention, that any of these plaintiffs satisfy the definition of a ’known terrorist’.” While Trenga’s ruling grants summary judgment to the plaintiffs, it directs both sides to file supplemental briefings on appropriate remedies before he rules further.

GWB judge or Obama judge.....what's the difference?

Okay, so catch them funneling money to terrorists and hang their asses publicly!
Military tribunal and firing squad!

The terrorist watch list is important, and we can't afford to not maintain it, but a person who has been placed on that list should have a reasonable way to show he doesn't belong there. That's not too much to ask for.

Great ruling. You always rule against the entity that lied to you.

The judge requires both sides to file supplemental briefings on appropriate remedies and he will rule further. Seems like you'd want this protection...for yourself when you go ballistic on a message board with heartless hopes of death and torments on your fellow Americans if nothing else. You could be on that list!

Good...Now if we could only get a federal judge to rule that the Patriot Act, FISA, and the TSA are massive violations of our civil rights, the nation could begin to get back to a state of relative normalcy.

BTW, dude, this is the same "terrorist watchlist" that Barry Obolshevik wanted to put combat veterans on.

Can you put the partisan pom-poms down long enough to see that this is a good ruling for everyone concerned?

That list is incorrect without a way for those who are incorrectly on it having a way to remove their names. It keeps them from flying when they need to.

Even you far right radicals say so when people want to use it to deny terrorists weapons.

But funny, you don't want the list cleaned up with people having their constitutional right to address the mistake in court.

I'm not surprised that you want to keep violating the constitution and people's rights.

An American who is on my ex's staff is on that list. This person isn't muslim or from the ME. He's white European from Ohio. They travel a lot with their work but one of my ex's staff always has to go through hours of hassle just to get on a plane because his name is there and no one will do anything about removing it.

That's just one of the thousands of people whose names are on that list incorrectly with the people not having any way to get their names removed. Which isn't constitutional.

Every post of yours screams that you're a Russian trying to divide our nation and get trump reelected.

How's the weather in Moscow comrade?

It does violate our Constitutional rights as there is no due process involved. The watch list is a "guilty til prove innocent" list and that is against our constitution.

If you do not like our Constitution, I suggest you move to Russia or China.

Not really. I point to SanFransisco putting the NRA on a terrorist watch list. So say that go's nation wide and there you are with your "I'm The NRA" bumper sticker on your car. Basically you staring you are a terrorist. Your neighbor hates you because he mows his yard to two inches and you now yours to 1. He reports you. The Feds look at your social media history and finds your posts on USMB and BANG! They got ya! No due process because you are a self admitted terrorist. So no, "watch lists" are not good at all. This country has a read bad history with "lists".
