Father off ISIS bride sues Trump administration cites possible loophole

She can come home provided she is heavily monitored and vetted until she proves to US where her loyalties. This idea is not going to sit well with some

And yet.....

Welcome her home with open arms, and set her up in a nice place so she can readjust to life and do her “therapie classes”.

So much for a presumption of innocence, due process, and the rule of law.
Dude...we're talking about ISIS here and she has made some truly nasty social media posts. That alone makes her extremely suspect

Again...there is precedent. John Walker Lindh
...who was afforded due process.

The Supreme Court has held that terrorism suspects are entitled to due process.

She is just the first....as ISSL comes apart a lot of former unpatriotic Europeans and Americans will be wanting to return.....too bad....you chose your path....

I'm more hawkish than that. Given her social media posts...she ought to go on trial and get locked up like John Walker Lindh for 20 years.
Correct.

That's why she wants to come back, to stand trial.

To what end? Not prision? The only reason this moron wants to come here is because no one there wants her or her kid. Not alive anyway and you can’t say any different because you just don’t know.

Yeah but the U.S. is not her home. She isn't a citizen and the U.S. has no responsibility for her welfare.

Liberals are already lining up to support her and others who joined ISIS. Another woman is suing Trump for not allowing her back in the U.S. after she joined ISIS. Anyone who admits to being "inspired" by videos of terrorists beheading infidels can go rot in hell. Anyone who can watch those videos and feel anything other than horror is not human.

Then let it go there. If her husband pals don’t kill her and her kid first. Say, where is John walker Lindh anyway? Likely just now or freshly released from a place very similar to the one in the first post.

So what do you propose? Just turn them loose? The Kurds hold them now. They won't do that forever

Wrong.

She was born in the United States to a foreign diplomat.

She claims he lost his status as a diplomat before she was born.

If that's the case she's a US citizen.

No. I'm not wrong, Jones. You have a fundamental misunderstanding of he 14th Amendment.

Her father was a diplomat which makes her ineligible.

I don't know how accurate that is. There were some reports that whatever the circumstances were...he was no longer a diplomate when she was born in this country.

Bottom line...if she's a citizen, she gets the same treatment that John Walker Lindh got. 20 years in jail.

Don't know why she would want that...

"Asked what she would expect as a reasonable form of punishment for joining the terror group and calling for bloodshed in the US on social media, she answered: ‘Maybe therapy lessons, maybe a process that will ensure us that we’ll never do this again."

Right she will not be the first ISIS loser wanting to come back to the US.

She is not a US citizen....she is the daughter of a diplomat and not afforded citizenship although being born here. I might bring her in long enough to try and hang her or maybe behead her like the dogs she chose to abandon her country for.

She also indicated that she knew she faced jail time. I doubt she realized that it would be 20 years though
