Well, well. Seems our farmers are seeing socialism in a new light. After voting overwhelmingly for Trump and his tariffs, suddenly they are stunned that those tariffs are affecting them. Just what the hell did they think would happen? I guess they didn't think at all, just voted their bigotries.

The pretty much sums it up, I think.

Meadow Muffins:rolleyes:

farmers have always had a sketchy relationship with gub'mit

tariffs are merely a small recent part of that hx

oh, and , for you unsubstantiated contrarians who like to shoot the messenger (cuz you got zero!) 'HX' means history

Now tariffs are socialism? Do you even know what socialism is? Obviously not. You probably think it causes global warming.

Whatever the case, I'm sure if farmers are hurting, Trump will do something, just keep your dick in your pants. This is a war of sorts, an economic war. During WWII, many made huge sacrifices to beat the Nazis, women even worked in factories. During WWII, Parker Brothers had to make Monopoly pieces out of wood because all of the steel and metal was going to the Defense Dept.--- likewise, no one never said that bucking global economic trends to fix this mess would be painless; I'm more than happy to knuckle under a bit if it helps put America back up on top in the long run.

All you need is to look at the big picture, not in 5 minute increments like CNN.

I have quite a few relatives in farming country and farmers in general are NOT begging for a bailout. Those that know what they are doing, are doing very well.

Oh **** off, your side made the state of the country to what it was and take glee its people suffering.

I had relatives who were sharecroppers but they have long since passed away and their one daughter, whose family raised chickens for Purdue, but I've not spoken to them in many years since the daughter's parents passed away.

Does not surprise me at all that the Left are lying about this just as they lie about Epstein and everything else.

The problem is most of those on the left speaking for farmers live in the city and have no concept of what farmers do.

Well, I have a good idea. Growing up, I spent part of every summer on my aunt and uncle's farm. They were hardcore republicans and come election time, they decorated a VW van they had with signs and stuff and drove around with a bull horn on the roof campaigning for their favorite politicians. :SMILEW~130:

A great example is Minnesota. A left wing state because of the city populations. However, if you drive out of the cities and into farmland the BLM and other left wing signs disappear and more conservative signage appears.

We have always subsidized farmers for a variety of reasons and rightly so. They have perhaps the hardest and most important American job. Raising our food.
That's hilarious. They don't raise your food. They raised China's food.

Where are they selling their soy and maize?

A great many blue states would suddenly be highly red if you just remove 1-2 big blue cities. Case in point: look at Pennsylvania, long considered a blue state or a purple swing state, the state is actually 98% red, just remove Philadelphia and Pittsburgh and it is suddenly as red as Oklahoma.

Which is probably why Trump won something like 3,500 counties vs. about 35 counties for Harris.

Democrats America.webp
