USAID provided food for foreign countries. It bought the food from America's farmers. The blob fired all of the USAID workers and cancelled all of the contracts. So that is one of the reasons the farmers are hurting.

The tariffs are certainly crippling them as well. Brazil and other South American nations are more than happy to take our place on the soybean market as we retreat on every front.

We have always subsidized farmers for a variety of reasons and rightly so. They have perhaps the hardest and most important American job. Raising our food.

Farmers are very important.
My father had a Milk Truck Business....you know, haul Milk for the Farmers.
My Uncles were the Dairy Farmers.

They deserve a bailout, BUT......let's just put the BLAME where it belongs. With the trump tariffs.

The real tragedy of the system is that USAID was a win-win-win for all involved. US Farmers sold billions of dollars of food to USAID, USAID fed starving kids and families worldwide, American influence was spread across the globe; most of the time showing the nation in the best light.
