I can't say what I really want to say so I'll just let others say it
NORTH BEND – On Tuesday, Peter Browne and his family were rescued after being snowed-in outside the Goldmyer Hot Springs in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains.
“I was actually quite worried. I’m rarely in a situation where I don’t have - there’s nothing I can do to make it better,” said Peter, in an interview at his Lakewood home on Wednesday.
Peter said his family, including his 3-year-old niece Aryanna, started their hike around 12 p.m. on Monday. It’s about a five mile hike to the Goldmyer Hot Springs.
“I could feel her heartbeat, she could feel mine, we’re very close, and it was – failure was not an option,” said Browne, who carried the 3-year-old inside his snow suit back to their truck.
Peter was hiking with his wife Josephine, his brother and his brother's longtime girlfriend.
