Family of 12 from Luton – including a baby and two grandparents – feared to have fled to Syria

A family of 12 from Luton including a baby and two grandparents are believed to have entered Syria to join Islamic State.

Police say the family have not been seen since May 17 after visiting their home country of Bangladesh for a holiday.

Bedfordshire Police, who are investigating the disappearance, said today they believe the group may have stopped in Turkey on their return from Bangladesh before entering war-torn Syria.
