this little fellow is all natural out of the garden:

here are the painted red pumpkins: hell ya i can be totally tacky

here is the black one: i wont carve them till this weekend

you start with a bail of hay:

add pumpkins, gourds and a few corn stalks:

no indian corn, i know.....and no lights.....i figure the 10 yr old varmit next door will destroy the whole thing monday night.....

I love Fall, but I'm not getting much to see around my parts *sigh*

When I was a married person, years ago, and the children were smalll, we would make a nice pretty harvest scene in our front yard, similar to yours, complete with hay bales, corn stalks that the ex made into a standing teepee of sorts...then I surrounded that with pumpkins, a scarecrow dude, and yes, a couple of mums.
That was the only time I ever used mums, were for a fall harvest decoration in my yard, then I threw them out.

little displays are big in this area......big display are big too lol

i am just not gonna blow a 200 bucks on a display that is gonna freeze

i got maybe 15 bucks in that.....2 cans of paint and the gourds ...next year i plant the gourds i need
