Add to that the likelihood that a good portion of the military arms would wind up in civilian hands and that cost would rapidly rise. Add again to that the reality that those arms are produced here in America by civilians and the very supply of those arms would be unsustainable. Yes, the resistance would be overmatched on paper, but in the long haul could overcome, and the retaliation would be huge. Yes and no…..Japan illustrates what modern nuclear warfare does to change the battle field. We beat Japan by never invading their homeland and using small arms. . Now, rebuilding a nation is a different story. More deaths in every war come from artillery, air and sea power. Germany was defeated, not by small arms, but air power.No, I agree with you.
