"I looked for someone among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found no one.“

Proverbs 22:28 "Do not move the ancient boundary which your fathers have set."

Deuteronomy 19:14 "You shall not move your neighbor's boundary mark, which the ancestors have set, in your inheritance which you will inherit in the land that the LORD your God gives you to possess."

Deuteronomy 27:17 "'Cursed is he who moves his neighbor's boundary mark."

Job 24:2 "Some remove the landmarks; They seize and devour flocks".

God is very concerned with boundary marks. That's why he's intervened so often to prevent borders from ever changing. JK, god's never done anything.

Heaven and Hell are in one spacious room...That stuff about purgatory is the terlits...

The concern with boundary marks is indeed linked to the inheritance. If an offspring goes astray, statements in the will could mean curtains for all those sugar-plum dreams. Best tow the line or at least pretend to believe until all that lettuce is finally theirs.
