He's trolling you.None of those weapons were legal. We already have laws against that remind me how that worked out?
And an exceedingly small number of them do. Like I said you have a special license in order to legally own one, it is a long drawn out and expensive license to obtain. How about you provide a link to an incident where a legally owned machine gun was used in a crime. There is no reason for a civilian to own an automatic weapon.
Fuck your 2nd Amendment!
I don't care! There is no reason for a civilian to own one.And an exceedingly small number of them do. we get it you are too stupid to know anything about rights and what is and is not legal.I don't care! There is no reason for a civilian to own one.
That's a bullshit, right wing lie. You'll be coming for our guns or will you be sending someone else?
Oh really? Then why have I heard for years that they are going to take our guns? That's a bullshit, right wing lie.
I got the grand daddy version of the M-14 called the M-1 Garand. I t lacks the 20 round magazine of the M-14 as it has the 8 round top load en-block spring steel clip. It's accurate for sure out to 300 yards on small targets like coyotes. If my M-1 was equipped with the smaller aperture target rear peep sight in the hands of a competent marksman I'd say one could actually print somewhat tight in the black on a proper sized 500 yard sized target. Not bad for an early 1940's vintage firearm, eh!The SCOTUS stated, unequivocally, that we Americans have the right to carry a gun outside the home:
The Court has little difficulty concluding also that the plain text of the Second Amendment protects Koch’s and Nash’s proposed course of conduct—carrying handguns publicly for self-defense. Nothing in the Second Amendment’s text draws a home/public distinction with respect to the right to keep and bear arms, and the definition of “bear” naturally encompasses public carry. Moreover, the Second Amendment guarantees an “individual right to possess and carry weapons in case of confrontation,” id., at 592, and confrontation can surely take place outside the home.
Some states require a permit to carry a gun outside the home; most do not.
Most of the states which require a permit recognize the permits from other states as sufficient to legally carry a gun in that state.
A few states – CA, NY, HI – do NOT recognize out-of-state permits.
They do not allow open carry without a permit
They do not allow out-of-state residents to obtain a carry permit.
That is, there is no way for me, a resident oh Ohio, to legally carry a gun in CA NY HI.
How can it be that CA NY HI do not violate my right to carry a gun – and thus, violate the 2nd Amendment?
I have 2 - they are great guns.I got the grand daddy version of the M-14 called the M-1 Garand.
CCW permitting has been abused by anti-gun state and local governments and that's why I oppose them.I support gun carry permits to assure you are not a criminal, have been trained and know the responsibilities of carrying a gun in public.
I also think states should have common standards and recognize a carry permit like they would a drivers license
Yes.Do you have a Constitutional right to go to CA NY HI?
The Constitution is the supreme law of the land.States Rights sweety.
Bearing arms isn't illegal. You can travel anywhere but you can't break the law when you get there.
We absolutely do get to make that determination. The issue is that you think you get to determine what is or is not Constitutional. You don't. Period. End of story.
The 2nd has its limits as all rights do and the SCOTUS has not removed them only recently changed the focus of how they are applied. You may eventually get your way (I doubt it since around 60-70% of Americans typically support stronger gun control measures) but not as of today.
By that logic, states can make rules about who can vote and who can't.California is a State
States can make their own rules
Guns kill people so states make rules about who can have one
Killing people is bad
The US has 50 StatesBy that logic, states can make rules about who can vote and who can't.
Sure but those laws can’t violate the bill of rights. A state legislature can’t pass a law that suspends the 1st amendment any more than they can the 2n.The US has 50 States
States can make rules about guns
Guns kill people
We don’t want bad men to have guns
States must make good lawsSure but those laws can’t violate the bill of rights. A state legislature can’t pass a law that suspends the 1st amendment any more than they can the 2n.
And can be twisted and perverted by right wing wackos. Just like your bibles. The Constitution is the supreme law of the land.
