EV's - Would you have one? If so, which one?

They look like they were designed for comic books. I want basic transportation, not a Halloween costume on wheels.

I briefly considered a hybrid 5 years ago but went with a V6 Toyota which I LOVE. Not a chance would I buy an EV.

I've been kicking the idea around -- maybe a hybrid explorer or highlander. I like the idea of doubling gas mileage and you don't have to plug 'em in. But my current explorer is in good shape.
