Because the polls I'VE READ indicate that Gazans are OVERWHELMINGLY against the Hamas strategy of lobbing inacurate ordinance into Israel to provoke violence.. Up to 70% disagreed with Hamas on a lot of things. "Elections" are a thing of the past with this group. They have been postponed and ignored because Gazans dont value peaceful revolutions.

And questioning Israels right to life and existence is a marginal view amongst most responsible populations. You could DUMP Israel tomorrow and by next WEEK --- it's guaranteed that the death toll would be HIGHER amongst the warring factions of Islam...

Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt have all washed their hands of the militant Palis demanding Israel's demise. So shame on the leftist University academics here that want to out do the rhetoric...

Are you talking about forceably relocating West Bank Palestinians to Jordan? That is not where most of them came from.

No way. No force. I was referring to who governed the West Bank residents for decades and spent $BILLS on infrastructure and welfare for them. And that would be the King of Jordan. At any point -- Israel and the REST of the peace-attempters would have WELCOMED his cooperation in identifying and cultivating the moderates who have LIFE and PEACE and the welfare of the Palis as their interest. Even providing temporary police, justice, military support for a brand new PA type of govt. You think Israel would complain about having His Majesty take an active role and interest in the birth of an independent state? Not damn likely. They'd be THRILLED and relieved...

But we all know WHY Jordan is done dealing with the more radical elements of the PA leadership. Same reason Egypt and Saudi and Emirates aren't sitting on the South Gaza crossing with tons of relief and aid. Realization needs to be that Israel is not the only party that wants Hamas out of Gaza.. And wants a UNIFIED Palestinian leadership with an interest in peace and progress..

That cease-fire today is significant. My bet is you will see a whopping big dose of diplomacy to make Hamas irrelevent and empower the PA. Let's PRAY that someone also remembers to provide the AID and RELIEF that is needed immediately as well..

OPs like this are just the way that Israel is coerced into restraint. Israel wasn't a mistake. There are plenty of Arab countries that don't mind seeing the JOOOOS doing their bidding.
