“WAS Israel all a mistake?” asks a lawyer at a debate on the Gazan war in a grand Georgian library in Manchester. None of the 40 or so professionals present says no.....

“Tesco: We’ve axed fruit from Israel,” ran a headline about the British supermarket chain in the Irish Sun on July 27th..."

"Younger Americans are far likelier than older ones to say Israel is more responsible than Hamas for the fighting in Gaza. A recent Gallup poll found a majority of those under 30 thought IsraelÂ’s actions in Gaza unjustified"

We're out of f***s to give.

So, they believe Israel was a mistake.

Oh, no, Geez. Don't do that to us. We're packing right away.

What a joke.

Little by little. On small step at a time.

“Death to Jews,” a few protesters chant at ultra-Orthodox Jews on their way home through Broughton Park, in the north of the English city.

Quite telling that the OP left this sentence out of his quote from the article above..... Sure, it's "a few protesters" - but the main group hasn't stopped or ejected them.

On the other note, something very heart warming came out of this round in Gaza. Days ago, the Satmar Community in USA published this add, I was so shocked to see this, it truly brought tears to my eyes!

You forgot the "Hamas, Hamas, Jews to the Gas!" quote in the article, the momentum against Israel is building amongst the general public. What genuinely saddens me is that the innocent Jewish people of Britain and Europe are bearing the brunt of the growing international anger and outrage against the Zionist scum currently occupying Palestine.

The adage: The road to Hell is paved with Good intentions, describes the hellish nightmare we watch daily!

Quite a few Israelis already are, tick...tick...tick.

Those who are cowards will probably leave. They'll see how the rest of the world treats the Jews and at one point will probably return.

We've seen that happening many times in the past.

Palestinians will keep resisting until the Israelis end the occupation and siege. So what?

15th post
I'm sure they will.

But the difference is, this is not Europe. You won't see us giving up this little we have. We've been through Pharaoh, we'd deal with this war, too.

The Economist is a financial magazine, normally very supportive of Israel.

My son has subscribed to The Economist for the last two year and we both read and discuss their articles on a weekly basis.
The Economist is NOT pro-Israel.

Of course it is, like all financial publications. You probably read U.S. media which is basically a re-writing of Israeli propaganda so you don't realize when normal international media is pro-Israel. Neutral media like Le Monde, Corriere della Sera, etc. will criticize Israel occasionally.

You don't read The Economist and so you put your foot in your mouth and you're too much of a ***** to admit so.
