Gosh ray, you are so wrong about so many things, in this post.

1) the Select committee is not illegal, nor their hearings. According to House rules, for over 100 years, the speaker of the House has final authority on all members picked for a Select Committee.

This committee is an official and legal House Select committee, under the law.

2). This is not a trial, nor a DOJ investigation. No one in this committee can charge anyone with anything.

3) The DOJ keeps their investigations secret, and brings their collected evidence before a grand jury, which is done in secrecy. The grand jury can ask for even more evidence with subpoena requests and witness testimony, and makes a decision on whether it is likely, a crime was committed, and charges brought.

All of this is done without the accused defense lawyer's involvement, or knowing....there is no due process for the perpetrator at this point.....

Only when a person is charged is due process needed or required under the law and constitution, not during investigations the DOJ may do.

4) There is no process in our legal system where the DOJ can bring charges without cause....without a law the perp allegedly and likely broke.

And even if the DOJ believes it has proof the perp committed crimes, they may choose not to charge the perp, like a President.....
