Well to me, the Maga evangelicals are not insincere. But they sincerely believe that to practice their faith they must control others' choices. I don't see abortion as much different from blue laws. YOU can't do something that doesn't affect me! OF course, the cries of "but the unborn souls." In short, it's about power of them over others. It's may not be sincere, but it doesn't have jack shit to do with christianity.

It has to do with biology. If we could all just admit that an unborn human is a human being, then we could have an honest discussion about the worth of that human life. As is now, we can't, because there are those who insist an unborn human isn't human. I mean, it's not like we don't already put relative values on human lives. We are perfectly willing, for instance, to lose tens of thousands of lives every year just because we want to drive fast.
