Anybody competent could be playing Clapton's parts. Those riffs do not stand out. Perhaps this is because Clapton gave BB the spotlight, but I don't think so. BB's guitar playing is a unique voice in music. Clapton's? Not so much. They're both great, of course, but BB is, I think, unique.
