Lets see, equity: Putting a blindfold and then hobbling Shaquil O'Neal and all NBA players so they can compete with nearly blind Muslim transsexuals' ciz gender handicapped left handed albino eskimos in wheel chairs. Because equity means wounding abled capable folks and giving advantage to those that can't other wise compete. Sort of violates the entire spirit of sportsmanship.

No, interest is what you pay into your mortgage. Equity is the few percent of that payment they let you keep to to keep you from not even bothering to buy to begin with.
