A virus that is contagious and can still be passed along. They hope that it could prevent people from infecting other people but it doesn't. The rush to get make a vaccine was pushed very hard.
I can find no study that confirms that it prevents the virus from being passed along. Studies confirm that it can prevent symptoms.
So it does make a strong case for making people get vaccinated because you may have the virus but it is not likely you will get sick and you do not have any adverse reactions to the vaccination.
