I axed a socialist once why she believed in such a failed ideology? In one of the most honest answers I have ever received to a question .....she said....because I always believed in Santa Claus...perhaps she was being faceitous perhaps not...but in reality that is the essential reality concerning socialism.....receiving free stuff paid for by someone else. Children can be expected to not really be concerned about the morality of such a program ....but adults should be....most especially when such programs have never worked anywhere in the World.

'One of life's enduring mysteries is why the left -- against overwhelming evidence to the contrary -- insists on more taxation, more government spending and more government control over the private sector. Europe's socialism has, over the last several decades, generated few private sector jobs and lags in growth when compared to the United States with its comparatively lighter hand of government.

What does it take to show that, good intentions aside, government bureaucrats cannot spend money as efficiently and as effectively as the people who produce the money? The most recent example is Venezuela. Hugo Chavez's handpicked successor now presides over a country with food lines and soaring inflation, all directly attributable to the pursuit of a socialist paradise where a benevolent and enlightened government redistributes wealth from the greedy few to the entitled many. It ... does ... not ... work.'

The Embrace of Socialism -- Despite Its Track Record

Can you name one nation that doesn't have a public sector and doesn't have a government that offers public services or regulates? If that is what you call socialism , I couldn't answer my own question.

If you think maintaining roads, police and a basic safetynet is such a bad thing that you equal it to communism. Well, you're granting a hell of a lot of power to real communist to make a case for their sick ideas as they now can point at Britain, Germany, Japan, South Korea, Canada and of course the USA. Be careful.

None of these nations are failing and are the biggest economies on the planet.

All dogs have fleas. That doesn't mean the fleas are good for the dog.

Embracing socialism is like hugging a cactus

Then again the same can be said of corporatism...

Time to take a pause here and consider the definition of Socialism>>>

Sir: I think that embracing Socialism is more selfish, more sinister, and more cowardly...Socialists vote themselves lots of goodies until the borrowed money runs out...then their children get to hug the Cactus.

This socialist/capitalist thing is brought up all the time by right wingers who get their economic degrees from Rush Limbaugh University. They're eager to prove that only capitalism works and socialism always fails. Rush doesn't tell them about the government bailing out and subsidizing the great free market quite often.

Actually, FDR was accused of socialism, and there was no takeover of the means of production. There aren't too many governments that do this, and we aren't anywhere near close to doing it either. Call up Rush and tell him you want your tuition money back.

Coming to America, eventually, if you vote Hillary 2016!

This Is How Venezuelan Truckers Avoid Looters | Zero Hedge

Hillary's not a socialist, she's a corporatist. She's for the takeover of America by the bankers, corporations, and anyone else who will donate to her foundation. She'd turn the keys to the country over to the saudies if they gave her enough money. Just like maybe 90% of our politicians, both repubs and demorats.

Government can't bailout anything without taking it from the private market first. So how could the government possibly bail out the private market? That's like trying to fill a swiming pool by taking the water out at one end and pumping it in at the other. Then you have to subtract all the handling costs.

Your pinko professors duped you into believe the swill they dispensed was economics, but it was really just socialist propaganda. Socialism has never worked, and it never will.

"Corporatist" just means "corrupt socialist."

FDR attempted to takeover the means of production. That was what the NRA was all about, but the SC overruled it.
