But when I buy solar panels without any government subsidy or tax breaks, government won't allow me to install them without spending 200% more for engineering, architect, fire, electrician, code enforcement & utility company to all sign off plus $1,000,000 insurance policy & utility controlled PTO over my solar system.

Building codes, damn pesky things, you should be able to hook up a 100 to 200 amp system to your home any way you like, just as long as you live alone. We would not want you to kill children circumventing the rules and regulations that keep homes safe.

There are 640 acres per square mile. Total of 164sq miles in a 105k acre plot.

Well .. 36 square miles off, and doesn't change the sheer volume of real estate required to produce such a small amount of energy, not to mention the ecological issues it introduces.

It will take over .. just like the success of the U.S. Government's first attempt of selling offshore leases for wind farms. This 105K acre plot will produce a targeted 2GW of electricity. With there being roughly 550 acres per square mile, this plot of ocean will span roughly 200 square miles to produce enough electricity for 350K houses ... over no specified duration.

Yeah .. going to be a huge success .. and can't wait for Gavin Newsom to own his promise to make California 100% renewable in the next 15 years. Bwahahahahahaha

What will happen is that Green Technologies will eventually take over.

I have looked at my own transition to Green and come up with……

1. I have a large Oak Tree in my front yard that I hug daily to thank it for all it does.
2. I bought my wife a Solar and Wind Powered Clothes Dryer
3. Architects designed my home to use Solar Powered Illumination during the day.
4. I have a wind powered boat that uses no Fossil Fuels.

1. Your oak tree blocks the sun from solar panels and lessens the wind for turbines
2. instead of keeping your old washer and dryer you had fossil fuel powered industry manufacture new ones
3. as houses have been desinged since the 1800's or longer
4. you indulge in luxuries that only fossil fuel powered industries are able to produce
