Elon Musk deletes X post about Biden, Harris assassination threats after backlash​

Tesla CEO and X majority owner Elon Musk wrote and then deleted a Sunday post on social media platform X that appeared to question why there weren’t more assassination threats made against President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.

Musk, who has 197.8 million listed followers on X, posted the message shortly after a second apparent assassination attempt against Republican former President Donald Trump.
The post was prompted by an X user who asked, “Why they want to kill Donald Trump?”

Musk replied, “And no one is even trying to assassinate Biden/Kamala,” punctuating his sentence with a thinking face emoji. Both Biden and Harris have received assassination threats while in office.

Musk immediately faced backlash for the post, but he stood by it and defended it for roughly 9 hours before he deleted it.

Within an hour, Musk’s tweet had been viewed by at least 1.3 million users, while more than 3,000 users had reposted it and at least 18,000 users had liked it.

Musk is beginning to rival trump for not suffering the consequences of making hateful, irresponsible statements while allowing fascists and bigots to take over X. Perhaps a global boycott of Tesla cars is in order.

Well in the case of FOX, it was an out of court settlement in lieu of a jury verdict. OANN had to settle out of court too because it knew it would lose. In the case of your blob, he rode the bus to court and got walloped.

The “inconvenient truth” for the right is that you guys are nothing but conspiracy theorists now. Any semblance to republicans wanting to govern as our founders envisioned it, pass legislation via compromise, promote the general welfare, etc... is long gone. Now, for republicans, its about nothing but tearing down the government as much as you can. Nobody is really sure why you guys have made this odd turn into anarchist. My suspicion is that you enjoy inflicting pain on others--kids who never grew up are often like that. Malformed offspring don’t usually have any power.
