Twitter, full of liberals, happily did so.

who claimed anything criminal happened? Twittergate has to do with the violation of folks consitutional rights. I would have to know more, to conclude if a criminal act took place, I'd have to see if the Xiden campaign was directly involved in the censorship...if so one could argue there was campaign contribution crimes....

But something doesn't have to be criminal to be wrong.

Well the issue is that it was against TOS to discuss thing that were harmful to the Xiden campaign, and they apparently did that at the direction of folks at the FBI.

No it's not. Dick pics violate terms of service but even if it didn't, simply asking is not a crime.

2. The FBI has done this for decades...of course it was newspapers, magazines and tv news, but still not unusual.

Unless the Trump administration tried to force Twitter to remove material, it was perfectly within his right to simply ask.
