Eli Manning, NFL Player Speaks

If Manning had said anything else he would have been penalized by the NFL. What else could he say? That's called black mail (no pun intended).

Exactly ! Eli may truly feel that way, but in this new era of McCarthyism, he's not an NFL QB for being stupid.

He knows if he not only wants to keep from being ran out of the league, but he knows he's a thin line away from personally losing millions if his endorsers run away, which of course they would the moment he even hinted at being concerned about having a homosexual in the locker room.

Because everyone really feels about gays the way you do, right?

Some do. I guarantee you there will be plenty in the NFL that do, but they know the moment they utter a word in protest, you witch hunters will be coming for them.

Does Manning speak for everyone on his team? He may be correct in how Sam would be treated not to do so as he stated would be a P.R. disaster especially for high profile players with big endorsement deals that does not mean every player in that locker room supports the gay lifestyle however.

Oh please. Manning doesn't even speak for himself. He is taking steps to protect himself and his family no less than if he was on the rack. When people are severely punished for what they say you know they will only parrot the line.

He's probably going to get injured early in the season & after that get a sports talk show on the Oprah channel. Him & his boyfriend, call it "*** Football".

With reason, unlike fools on this forum who are scared of someone seeing their pee pee in the locker room.

Eli Manning On How Michael Sam Would Be Treated In The New York Giants' Locker Room

New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning sounded off on Michael Sam's headline-making news as part of an interview with HuffPost Live this week.

As to how his Giants teammates would've reacted if Sam had been drafted by that team, Manning said, "We have a great locker room, and I think the most important thing ... you're drafted a football player. That's all we care about in the locker room."

Noting that "what you do outside in your personal life is up to you," Manning added, "I was excited for [Sam]. This is a gentleman who's been through a lot ... I'm wishing Michael all the best in having a successful career."

And they'll run down the field with the balls, an the opponent has to pull the rubber cock out of the runners back pocket !

Bam! Liberal tv hit right there! Now look at the marketing advice we just gave to Mr. Sam free of charge. I don't want to hear any homos telling me or you that we never did nothing nice for them.

So, in your mind, it's a far greater crime to be 'persecuted' for speaking in a way that further casts aspersions and stigma on homosexuality than to actually cast aspersions and stigma?

Are you afraid you're losing your ability to openly hate? Is that the real offense as you see it?

The real offense is trying to get people to embrace something that is unhealthy being taught that it's okay...when it's not normal or healthy & if it was, human kind would cease to exist. Unless ofcourse you believe once everyone embraces faggotry, eventually we will evolve into asexual beings and be able to reproduce without finding a mate? You people are extremely stupid. Sitting on a high horse supporting unhealthy habits. It's one thing to accept there are people who live an unhealthy lifestyle and tolerate it enough not to go out and physically assault them for it...most of us are willing to be fine with that. Once you start trying to **** people's lives off because they don't agree with you and use coercion by way of peer pressure via media and the government...we have a problem.

What is not to understand about that? What if people who disagree with you gain power and do that to you? Think about it...

the most liberal state in the union spoke about how gay rights would be dealt with if put to a public vote.

It's simple Eli Manning was asked his opinion about Sam and reminded of what happened to Donald Sterling when he made some mildly reproachful remarks.

WTF rights do gays not have that straights do? I don't get to choose whomever I want to be married to. And don't give me the love crap...the government benefits given to marriages does not require the married couple be in love. So what are these rights they don't have that others do?

Everyone I know does.

Do you mean y'all actually talk in those public restrooms? I thought you just tapped toes?

You mustve sucked one long ass cock & dislodged your brain from the stem.

A homo trying to be snarky and use what they do as an insult? Stupid ******, don't you see the hypocrisy in that? You're the ones that taught Larry Craig the trick in the 1st place.

Your poisoned attitude toward homosexuality does serve to rationalize your fears and suspicions. But society has moved past you while you were engaged in blind rage. Are you afraid you might actually catch the Gay? Don't worry your pointy little head one minute over that. You, me and every other heterosexual are safe.

That's true. You would have to find a consenting...thing...to agree to be married to you. I imagine that would be a challenge.

You can't choose who you marry? Come to the United States of America where we all get a choice, unless you're gay, then you have that freedom in a handful of states.

But one day, and that day is coming soon, even if you are Gay, you will be able to marry and have that marriage legally recognized every where. We just have to wait until common sense or death over takes some of the stubborn bigots. It happened when Jim Crow fell, so it can happen again.

Apparently the definition of a "mindless hater" is ANYBODY who has opinions that differ from those of the progressive playground bullies.
It's not political. It's a matter of societal fair play. Unless homosexuality is a crime, unless there is abject promiscuity, unless others are harmed, homosexuality can be conducted under the same conditions as heterosexuality. Some are banking the fires of stigmatizing homosexuality. The society has moved past that narrow type of thinking. Mr. Manning's comments were not made under duress, much to the amazement and incredulity of those who impose a stigma on homosexuality.

Stop seeing agendas under every bush. I realize it's a hard habit to break for Conservatives. They play the 'victim' card so often one might think that Conservatives are sissies.

If anyone is against homosexuality and speaks, the consequences can topple a career. So how can we expect any honesty on the subject?

We say it is now accepted, but is it really or are people still objecting to the lifestyle in silence? If I'm an NFL player, would I speak against gays and face fines and going to a class to force you to change your opinion or just shut up and go along?

The current climate is forcing an issue under the table.

Eli Manning's statement was as sincere as if he was in North Korea praising Kim Jong Un ' s haircut. That's how bad we are now?
