Well said!Broad generalizations tend to be meaningless. Unless they are made by me.
Parents have turned their kids over to the state for rearing, with predictable results. Think of the pigs in Animal Farm when they took the dogs in as pups and turned them into police dogs. Kids are taught from birth that government is the only parent they need.Kinda hard to teach kids to read starting in Kindergarten when they come to school unable to sit in a chair, unable to share, unable to listen, and not potty trained.
That's where we are now.
I grew up in the Bronx. In 1970, the City had this amazing idea to bus white kids from Throggs Neck down to Stevenson HS in the South Bronx. This was to motivate the minority yutes to learn from white folks. We didn’t want to be there, and in fairness the neighborhood didn’t want us there.
The first three days the neighborhood was out in force and said the school was closed to us. Fair enough. We got back on the bus going north. The third day they let us in, but there was a full scale riot. Good times
Offsetting my poor attendance the rest of the school year was that we got to listen to some of the best music every released on my friends fathers amazing stereo set. Imagine hearing first song from Black Sabbath’s first album fresh off of the vinyl!
Exactly!!! That’s why the system must be replacedParents have turned their kids over to the state for rearing, with predictable results. Nobody seems to remember the things that have been tried to force integration of people for various reasons. Bussing, section 8 housing and forced housing, tweaking school curriculums, and all the social engineering that has failed repeatedly. That's why we keep doing the same crap over and over when no one really wants it and it never helps.I grew up in the Bronx.
