<~~~~~~~~~~>The "rules" concerning embassies, diplomatic immunity, that type of thing, have been around for hundreds of years. In no small way, they are like manners. They help society function more efficiently. Look, you don't get any bonus points for violating those norms, you just don't.
What that INS agent did was an act of war, plain and simple, and should be treated accordingly. Can some government "agent" storm into the US embassy in France? I don't think so.
If diplomatic immunity was breached by an ICE agent, the his identification should be transmitted to DHS.
This is much ado about nothing.... and probably false.
