economic trouble

That would be because of high car prices, high interest rates and the end of federal stimulus checks left over from the dempanic.

The high new car sales numbers under Biden that dems love to use to prove how "good" the economy was are now coming back to bite those people in the ass as they really couldn't afford those vehicles and shouldn't have bought them.

But we all know that defaulting on a car loan for a car bought a year ago under Biden is, of course, Trumps fault.

I pumped avgas and Jet-A for a living for over a decade, drove a 25 year old Nissan truck to do it, saved up, and right after graduating from college a 2nd time, bought a car with a check. I've never had a car loan. If I can't write a check for the item, I don't buy it, period. The only exception to that was my house, and I paid my 30 year loan off in 7 years, saving over $130,000 in interest payments alone. And I dropped 20% down payment before close.

Besides that car that is now 13 years old, my other vehicles are 24 and 28 years old, respectively. I owe 0$ to anyone other than the monthly credit card bill. You have to be responsible with your money. I see these people driving around in brand new F-250 6.7 Powerstroke Platinums and I think "good luck paying that ************ off." I'm happily lollygagging along in my nearly 30 year old paid-off truck that runs like a clock. Manual door locks, manual windows and a 5 speed. Works for me.

Oh yea, I have two boats. One is 35 years old, the other is 34. They're in two different locations, one is at a relatives lake house. I paid $4500 dollars for a Ranger bass boat with a 150 on it, boat motor and RangerTrail trailer. That boat today, equivalent, is roughly $45000 dollars. Oh yea, and its on the much more rare, and sought after for this model of boat, tandem axle trailer.

Again, you gotta be SMART with your money.
Don’t worry. Trumps tarriffs are sure to help car prices come down!

Dealer tried to charge me a 500 make ready fee. When asked what that was, they said it was for detailing and any minor repair needed so the customer would get an exceptional vehicle. After catching my breath from laughing so hard, I walked out.

You've got to be kidding. A "make ready fee?" OMFG.

At least it will make sure that American automobiles remain competitive in price.

Trump's tariffs are supposed to be causing inflation yet we see such a miniscule uptick in inflation it falls well within the "expected" category.

panic-oh-noes.gif
Every hour of every day, the hard left finds something to panic over. They have to keep people in fear in order to control and indoctrinate them.

People are missing their car payments.

The delinquency rate spiked from 2% to 5%.

Even prime borrowers are falling behind.

This is trouble. Most people will lose everything else first before they lose their car.

Oddly written article. It explains a problem but really doesnt point to a cause. Maybe insinuates it a little.

According to the idiots on the left, tariffs are a tax. Remember how they shouted that to put us in fear of Trump? The stupid morons didn't realize that if you don't buy a Mercedes or champagne from France or a Chinese trinket, you paid no tax.

Since there was no tariff on American made goods, that meant there was no "tax". The globalist open borders crowd ignored that. They want their cheap Chinese toys and baubles and cell phones, and labor by illegal aliens from Mexico, and the hell with the fact that we imported Iranian terrorists, MS-13, Tren. Chinese and Haitian gangs. We got cheap stuff.

The effects of the tariffs haven’t hit yet. The market moves much slower than political opinions. Same thing with covid. The markets moves and effects take years to play out

You know, thats a good point. Didn't people buy new vehicles with stimulus checks? I thought I read stories that said that.

**********************

Anyway, I sympathize with rising prices, but people in general dont really help themselves in this regard. People tend to live above their means. This over extends them and makes it rough on them during hard times.

too many times we see people buying houses that they simply can't afford, sure, they can't make the payment, but they are leveraging more than they should. Now in homes, I can kind of see it. Housing prices have gone wwaaaaay up. Median home price is through the roof compared to median income.

However, the problems that many find themselves in are the other things. For example, dad "needs" that brand new platinum edition Silverado with the 4x4 drive train, leather, and all the bells and whistles. Mom "needs" that Mercedes SUV, little timmy just has to have an Xbox, a ps5, a switch, a new PC and the latest and latest and greatest cell phone. Little Sally just has to have the latest high end laptop.

They'll have boats and 4 wheelers and waverunners sitting in their driveway. When they sign up for cable, they say "give me everything" and with internet "I want the fastest available"...when they wont even use half of the channels and have of the bandwidth.

And on top of all that, these restaurants a jam packed every night with people spending $100 or more feeding their families for dinner.

People are free to make their own choices, but, many times, those choices end up stretching them thin.

And if the government doesn't do something to help these people, they are all going to die!!!!!

Sometimes, people need to learn the hard way.

Haha, yeah 4 years later those thousand dollar stimulus checks are still holding on strong getting people new cars! 👍

Huh? Im talking back when people were getting paid to stay home. There were many who went out and bought new cars with all that extra money.

And yet we are bombarded with lefty idiot posts about the end of the world over the effects that change every week.

/---/ And the sales rep didn't chase you down in the parking lot with a "Let me ask my sales manager if I can waive it for you." ?
If not, that's sales fail, tbh.
I am a B grade salesman. To be A grade, you have to lie, and no. :nono:
That guy just messed it up proper.
Oh, I'll make deals. May even do things like "The Art of The Deal" sometimes!

😆
It ain't like Trump made it up himself, it's just a thing.
He's good at it, for what it is.

Hey! You know what didn't help car prices come down?
Cash4Clunkers taking all the affordable things off the roads at the taxpayers' expense and creating big shortages of automobile related things in America, shitbag.
Obama Cloward Piven Traitor.

/---/ I became an A grade salesman, by not lying, not selling a customer what he or she doesn't need, and always following up on any customer complaints immediately. I worked for Fortune 50 companies, and that's how we were trained, but not everyone followed the guidelines.

I wish I would have you could borrow money basically for free around that time. Wish I would have picked up an extra house or two

Haha. Goes both ways bucko. Don’t think I’ve ever heard more whining than about the Biden economy and inflation over the past 4 years

Start a petition to get Fox to take down that Kars for kids commercial and I’ll sign it.

This is good news for democrats as fewer people will drive cares, hence decreasing the carbon footprints

And if their poverty shortens their lives, which typically it does, that will also help with the carbon footprint problem
Funny how democrats can turn on a dime as long as it benefits them.
