During GOP Debate, when RP asked about sick young man audience yells "Let him DIE!".

Oh the irony, now the left preaches the "morality" of not allowing people to die if they are uninsured, which BTW, I happen to agree with.

But let's cut all the shit about morality having no place in our political landscape. It happens daily, all our laws are rootd in some view of what is just and moral.

Bankruptcies due to medical bills increased by nearly 50 percent in a six-year period, from 46 percent in 2001 to 62 percent in 2007, and most of those who filed for bankruptcy were middle-class, well-educated homeowners, according to a report that will be published in the August issue of The American Journal of Medicine.

Watch it again. When Ron Paul was first asked the question, his answer was that's what freedom is all about - taking your own risk. This led to wild applause. Then when Wolf pressed the issue, a few yelled out "let him die". But that's what they were applauding to the first time. No way to spin out of that.

Obama tried to get Americans to buy health care for exactly this reason. Republicans said no. Now they say let him die. And look at that audience. All the fat and white hair. How many have Medicare and Social Security? Probably most? Aren't those insurance too?

Church care is so much better than doctors.

They concluded that 62.1 percent of the bankruptcies were medically related because the individuals either had more than $5,000 (or 10 percent of their pretax income) in medical bills, mortgaged their home to pay for medical bills, or lost significant income due to an illness. On average, medically bankrupt families had $17,943 in out-of-pocket expenses, including $26,971 for those who lacked insurance and $17,749 who had insurance at some point.

..........

"That was actually the predominant problem in patients in our study -- 78 percent of them had health insurance, but many of them were bankrupted anyway because there were gaps in their coverage like co-payments and deductibles and uncovered services," says Woolhandler. "Other people had private insurance but got so sick that they lost their job and lost their insurance." Health.com: Where the money goes -- A breast cancer donation guide

We should never allow any America to die if they're uninsured, ever. Someone that needs life support or medical attention should get it no matter.

For a runny nose or for something stupid...Of course they should be expected to pay, but it's evil to let someone die if they can't pay. We're better then this.

Tell that to Republican Governor of Arizona, Jan Brewer. She pulled the funding of 2 medical procedures and caused the deaths of 2 American citizens.

YOU ARE ONE PATHETIC BITCH...................

Just like they cheered in the first debate over Texas DP numbers....

Bloodthirsty maniacs......................................

As disgusting as it was it was only a few people cheering. There are bad apples in every political group and to insinuate their isnt is just stupid.

You're wrong. First, when Ron Paul said it's the guys own fault and it's his problem for not having insurance, the entire place LOUDLY applauded. THEN when Wolf pressed the issue, some people shouted out "Let him die", but the main applause had already happened. This is one thing so obvious, not even you can spin it.

Obama tried to get everyone to get health care for exactly this reason. Republicans are still saying "NO". Now their real plan comes out, "Let him die", and why? Because the guy has not health care which he could have had under Obama. It's a matter of "values" and "Morals". Two things Republicans don't have in the "traditional" American way.

They are anti rebuilding infrastructure.

Anti education.

Anti science.

Anti workers.

But they are for "dying"? I don't get it at all.

You can see for yourself here:

Tea Party Debate Crowd on Uninsured Sick Americans: Let Them Die!

This was on the heels of the wild applause for Perry's record on Capital Punishment, including one execution, which may have been of an innocent man.

So, after people learn to 'take care of themselves' by dying without insurance because it's available only to those with the means to afford it, retiring on whatever savings they could cobble together after banks fudged their mortgages and foreclosure papers, losing their job because the company they worked for moved operations to India to enhance their profitability, breath clotted air because the regulations that safeguarded it were considered too restrictive by the governing class, we're stuck.

We're stuck in a lifestyle less than the American dream because the Tea Party wanted to assure the 400 richest families that they should continue to amass the wealth of the nation.

At least people like bripat on this site ADMITT they want to return to a monarchy.

Many on the right just pretend their hsitorically failed ideas wont result in a privledged class and serfs.

o and a right winger goes to name calling.....lol...how nice.....i did call him a bitch when i negged his ass.....but not in public ....seems conservatives do it just as well as others....name call instead of refuting facts

The Liberal Chattering Classes have had their sites and guns trained on Perry ever since he greeted the California Fact Finding Delegation, headed by now Lieutenant Governor Gavin Newsome, with his remarks that began with a recitation of Texas economic accomplishments in the face of the nationwide Depression and closed with "This is Texas, not some state where a man can marry a man".
Upon receipt of a transcript of those remarks in the New York Times newsroom, the simultaneous tightening of the anal sphincters in that newsroom created such a thunderclap and seismic wave that seismologists in offices all across the city thought they had experienced another building collapse.

Same holds true for liberals and their reaction to various GOP candidates.
