Also from the government's above filing for a stay:

... The INA clearly bars judicial review of such discretionary decisions: “Notwithstanding any other pro-
vision of law * * * no court shall have jurisdiction to review * * * any other decision
or action * * * the authority for which is specified under this subchapter to be in the
discretion of * * * the Secretary of Homeland Security.” 8 U.S.C. 1252(a)(2)(B)(ii).

From 2022 to early 2025, then-Secretary Mayorkas granted two-year terms of
parole to some 532,000 aliens from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela in so-
called CHNV special parole programs. He relied on categorical migration and country
rationales—for example, that encouraging aliens from those countries to use parole
to enter the United States would deter surges of illegal entry at the southwest border.
See, e.g., 88 Fed. Reg. 1243, 1249 (Jan. 9, 2023) (Haiti).

But he was clear that parole could be summarily terminated. His notices creating those programs advised: “The Secretary retains the sole discretion to terminate the process at any point,” and “DHS
may terminate parole in its discretion at any time.”

Another Obama hack.

Indira Talwani is an insurrectionist in a dirty black robe, as the statute clearly says no court shall have jurisdiction. But she placed herself above Congress and above the President.

I note her father was born in India, it doesn't say in the WIki bio where she was born, but we have seen a pattern of these either foreign born or children of third world parents go way outside their authority; no wonder Obama and Biden appointed so many just like her.

It’s a war. You clearly support Hamas which is your choice but while Hamas supporters can exercise free speech just like Black Lives Matter, the KKK, ANTIFA, and NeoNzis, no protest or free speech can infringe on the rights of others….. which is exactly what these pigfuckers did when they disrupted the library.

No, a war is when you have two sides of equal strength fighting each other.

The Zionists are terrorizing a civilian population, having killed 50,000 people so far, most of whom are NOT combatants.

But some privileged college kid couldn't use the library.

Holy fucking shit, are you people tone deaf?

It’s amazing to me how fast maga is willing to give up basic rights for those deemed different or who have different opinions.

So a bunch of cultists offed themselves and he returned a kidnapped child to his father.

Oh, today, Elian is an engineer and a politician in Cuba.

In the 2010s, González studied to be an industrial engineer, and hoped to marry his high school girlfriend and fiancée after finishing college. In July 2016, he received a degree in industrial engineering from the University of Matanzas, and read a letter to Fidel Castro from his graduating class, vowing "to fight from whatever trench the revolution demands". After graduating in 2016, González began working as a technology specialist at a state-run company that makes large plastic water tanks.<a On Father's Day in 2020, González announced that he and his fiancée were expecting a daughter within the following months.

In 2013 González led the Cuban delegation to the 18th World Festival of Youth and Students in Quito, Ecuador. In an interview with CNN en Español he blamed his mother's death on economic impact of the United States embargo against Cuba, which he held to be responsible for the economic underdevelopment of the country.< González also stated that he was happy that he did not stay in the United States, saying that he would have been manipulated into becoming a "performer" for the Cuban dissident movement and the American media.<a

In 2015, González was elected to lead his local Committee for the Defense of the Revolution, prompting speculation that he was preparing for a political career. In an interview with the Communist Party of Cuba's official newspaper Granma that year, Gonzalez defended socialism and stated that economic liberalization could result in Cuba becoming a poorer "colony" dominated by the United States. In another interview with ABC News he reiterated his condemnation of the embargo and satisfaction with the outcome of the custody dispute, but expressed hope for better Cuba–United States relations in the future and stated he would like to return to the United States one day "to give my love to the American people".

González was nominated by the municipal assembly of Cárdenas to run as its candidate for the National Assembly of People's Power in the 2023 Cuban parliamentary election.<a

You are so full of shit. If a bunch of Conservatives disrupted a college library for one of their causes, you wouldn’t be calling the students in the library “privileged”.

I don’t care the protest whether it is supporting something I am 100 percent against and all points in between for something I 100 percent support, protest and speech should not disrupt the rights of others, privileged or not (BTW, your class envy is exposed once again).

What if that speech blamed WWII on gay people?

What if that speech advocated eliminating a minority population?

What if…. doesn’t matter. Protest speech regardless of content does not include infringing on the rights of others. No blocking roads, No blocking access to buildings, No getting in the faces of innocent non participants.

Its called Civil Disobedience.

Civil Disobedience

First published Thu Jan 4, 2007; substantive revision Wed Jun 2, 2021
From the Boston Tea Party to Mahatma Gandhi’s Salt March, and from suffragists’ illegally casting their ballots to whites-only lunch counter sit-ins, civil disobedience has often played a crucial role in bending the proverbial arc of the moral universe toward justice. But what, if anything, do these acts, and countless others which we refer to as civil disobedience have in common? What distinguishes them from other forms of conscientious and political action?

On the most widely accepted account, civil disobedience is a public, non-violent and conscientious breach of law undertaken with the aim of bringing about a change in laws or government policies (Rawls 1999, 320). On this account, people who engage in civil disobedience operate at the boundary of fidelity to law, have general respect for their regime, and are willing to accept the legal consequences of their actions, as evidence of their fidelity to the rule of law. Civil disobedience, given its place at the boundary of fidelity to law, is said on this view to fall between legal protest, on the one hand, and conscientious refusal, uncivil disobedience, militant protest, organized forcible resistance, and revolutionary action, on the other hand.

This picture of civil disobedience, and the broader accounts offered in response, will be examined in the first section of this entry, which considers conceptual issues. The second section contrasts civil disobedience, broadly, with other types of protest. The third focuses on the justification of civil disobedience, examining upstream why civil disobedience needs to be justified, and downstream what is its value and role in society. The fourth examines states’ appropriate responses to civil disobedience.
