*Dozen Eggs: $4.50 Dollar General*

Reagen forced foriegn countries to build factories in the USA. Bush was a RINO. Clinton sold us out to the Chinese.
When did America start outsourcing to China?

1980

It was like the floodgates for manufacturing using cheap Chinese labor had opened. By 1980, companies like Nike were outsourcing production of their goods to mainland China.

Yes. I usually buy it for the kids when they go to their sports games/ competitions. Or if they want to grab one for school. It’s just convenient sometimes.
Yes it is I agree. Highland Spring and Evian are the top sellers here but every supermarket does their own too and fruit flavoured water, both still and sparkling.

My favorite bottled water is Hint ( for me) ,but I will only buy it when it’s on sale. Recently they were 5 for 5 so I stocked up. Sparkling I am not a fan of but will buy Clearly Canadian when it’s on sale as well. Sometimes store brands are okay.

When the government orders the economy shut down re recommendations of so-called medical experts due to a pandemic, that government issues people money to buy food and keep their businesses afloat or everything collapses and millions starve. Trump was urging everybody to open back up months and months and months before foolish governors were willing to do so. The rescue money in the Trump administration would have been far less if the Democrats hadn't demanded mega billions added to it in pork that benefitted nobody but Democrats. Trump was not willing to allow people to starve by vetoing that legislation.

If he had a Republican Congress during the first year of the Pandemic he would be President now, we would not have had near the damage done due to selfish Democrat policies/expenditures and everybody would be infinitely better off now

Cool story about how it’s not Trump’s fault, but that is far to many words to refute exactly nothing of what you quoted.

Try not to let your ADD get in the way.

We are discussing real median income and how it’s now higher than it was before pandemic.

Trump, on the advice of medical 'experts' shut down the economy for two weeks and did what he could to alleviate the personal consequences to people for doing that. Biden and the Democrats kept the economy, schools, etc. shut down for more than a year, long long after he said everybody should open back up. You can't blame Trump for that.

I shop at Tom Thumb. Like many stores now, if you have their store discount card, you can get things for cheaper.
I haven't bought eggs in about 2-3 years. But the eggs are right next to the butter section, so I always look at the prices.
I think the cheapest price for a dozen eggs is currently 2.50, but with their discount store card its like 1.79.

All prices have quadrupled or MORE since Bidenomics has destroyed the economy.

Which has nothing to do with avian flu.

Dumbass you can you blame whoever you want, fact is according real median income affordability today is similar to what it was before pandemic.

Don’t reply to me if you can’t directly address what I’m saying.

You think that Biden controls egg production, aww a special needs guy.

Sorry bout that,

1. Well I've never seen eggs cost that much, I had to start a thread.
2. On the way to the auto repair shop I stopped at the store, grabbed a cart did some shopping.
3. And as I did I came up to the eggs, which were $4.50 cents a dozen.
4. Its highway robbery.
5. I want to say that the store is charging too much.
6. Its criminal.
7. How does this grab you?

Since 2020 as of a year ago, Americans had lost $4.2k at best and $5.8k at worst in buying power looking at everybody's math except the U.S. Treasury/Biden Administration who want us to believe there is no difference. In fact it didn't become a problem until Kamala's nomination and now she's going to fix it on Day 1. Day 1? Why not now? Why not for the last 3-1/2 years?

It is true that the costs overall have risen more slowly in the last 12 months than before because producers couldn't find buyers who are still hurting if they didn't hold the line here and there.

You obviously don't buy the groceries or pay the other necessary bills at your house or have so much money you don't care what they cost. Most of us do care.

Since 2020 as of a year ago
….are you mentally challenged?

I’ve gone at lengths to explain you that in 2020 demand cratered due to pandemic and government was running trillion dollar deficits to prop up people’s income.

Thats what you want compare purchasing power against, as if that’s a good economic standard? :cuckoo:

The proper point of comparison is 2019, not crazy ass 2020.

Americans had lost $4.2k at best and $5.8k at worst

and why are you posting an article from 2022?

Because in 2023 and 2024 wage growth outpaced inflation and it would be inconvinient for your half-baked thesis, thats why.

Remember when MAGA whining and snowflaking was rare? (well, to be honest, I don't.)

But now it is everywhere, all the time, so if pricing follows the supply/demand equation their whining, bitching, complaining, snowflaking has got to be next to free. There is so much of it....nobody will pay much for it.

Well, actually......it never was worth much before. But now the supply is a tidal wave.

Just sayin'.
