I’m not a big Trump fan, I have issues with the guy but in this area, he knows China needs us way more than we need them and he called their bluff where other Presidents just caved to China or escalated tariffs with no benefit. I would like to see they get a long term deal in place so it will gain us more consumer confidence and a better supply chain.

I’m tired of the press, the media through last week lied and claimed China wasn’t talking to the us and then there is now a deal in place, then the cease fire in Pakistan, the lower illegal immigration, now Trump signs an executive order today that limits cost of prescription medication from overseas, it is all good news. I do have an issue if he cuts SSI as that is a trust fund we all pay into .

YOUR economy only functions well as a globalist economy because successive Republicans governments since 1945 has legislated and shaped the US economic model to favour global manufacturing. The world has functioned on American trading practices and American trading rules since WWII, and they made you the richest nation in the world.

You're only 3% of the world's population, and we all have other, more reliable trading partners we can deal with.

Trump's recent tariff war, after tearing up all of your trade agreements the last time he was in office, isn't having the desired response. You signed these deals, now you live up to them, because NOBODY is giving Trump an inch.

China lowered their tariffs to more favorable terms, that has been a sticking point for American companies for decades, this will lead to lower prices for American goods and ease the trade deficit. It will also lower cost to American companies that import parts from China.

China also agreed to work with the the United States on the fentanyl crisis here in the US.

Trump achieved NOTHING except a 30% tax on all Chinese goods coming into the USA.

America for the first time has low tariffs for products going to China, and because China has lowered their rate the US was able to lower rates on products sold to the United States, which means it will lower prices of products coming into America. So, more of a chance to sell products in China, lowering trade deficit. Allows Americans to buy from China for less cost.

Also China has agreed to work with the United States in keeping fentanyl coming across into America.
