Don't Worry America Will Survive the Rebuilding Of the East Wing!

If Biden or especially Obama had done this, you guys would never stop howling about it being the un-American destruction of a landmark.

Left-Wing Psychopaths Melt Down Over, Get This, Trump

24 Oct 2025

Trump, along with some donors, is funding a free-to-the-taxpayer renovation to the White House. Specifically, he's building a long-planned but never built ballroom.
Here's the terrorist-aligned AP:
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Construction started this week on the $250 million ballroom that President Donald Trump is adding to the White House as construction crews began tearing down the facade of the East Wing, where the new space is being built.
The 90,000-square-foot ballroom will dwarf the main White House itself, at nearly double the size, and Trump says it will accommodate 999 people.
Trump said on social media that the ballroom won't cost taxpayers a dime because it is being privately funded by "many generous Patriots, Great American Companies, and, yours truly."
Here are some things to know about the newest White House construction project:
Why is Trump building a ballroom?
Trump says the White House needs a large entertaining space and has complained that the East Room, the current largest space in the White House, is too small, holding about 200 people. He has frowned on the past practice of presidents hosting state dinners and other large events in tents on the South Lawn.
Hmm, why would Trump, who has been the target of multiple assassination attempts, both of which were permitted by Secret Service incompetence bordering on accomplice hood, want to stop doing outside events and instead keep inside the safety of walls?
And gee, why would the left object to that, and demand that Donald Trump remain out in the wide-open where snipers can shoot him?

Commentary:
The clutching of pearls and hypocrisy of Democrats becomes overbearing especially in cases like this.
The renovation of the White Hose East wing to build a suitable ballroom is necessary.
The building of a basketball court was the extent of Obama's idea of renovating the White house that was meant to please Obama himself not the people.
In contrast, California's Capitol renovation is costing California taxpayers $1.1 BILLION — Four times more than the privately funded White House ballroom, which costs taxpayers NOTHING.

Unraveling claims about $376M White House renovation under Obama

The renovations under Obama did take place. Both CNN and Bloomberg News reported in 2010 about a four-year, $376 million White House renovation project beginning during his presidency.

However, many social media posts omitted key context: Congress approved the funding in 2008 following a report by the administration of then-President George W. Bush, and the renovations aimed to upgrade the building's aging infrastructure, according to the news reports.

It's misleading to suggest Obama personally "spent" $370 million on White House renovations, as some posts claimed, as Congress approved the project's funding during Bush's time in office.

What Bloomberg News and CNN reported

A Bloomberg News report published in The Philadelphia Inquirer on May 22, 2010, noted that a four-year, $376 million White House renovation project had begun, stating that its purpose was to "improve the infrastructure in the East and West Wings."

According to the report, workers would be "replacing decades-old heating, cooling, electrical, and fire-alarm equipment," as well as "unspecified security systems."

CNN reported in a Sept. 10, 2010, segment that Congress approved funding for the renovations in 2008 — before Obama took office — "after a Bush administration report revealed some systems in the White House were periodically failing."

More specifically, some of the White House system's were "deemed to be approaching the end of their 'reliable productivity,'" Bloomberg News reported.

Zhao paid the democrat's "lawfare" to get back to running his business.
How is crypto a trigger? Most of us avoid that ponzi scheme. You are grasping at straws.

I didn't buy a McMansion at Subprime in the Aughts, but the 2008 crash still left me with an underwater mortgage and a busted 401K.

The fact that so much of the economy is tied up in the Crypto Scam is going to hit all of us when the bubble burst.

Zhao paid a fine so he wouldn't end up in big-boy jail where he belonged.

We all got hit in 2008. I'm hoping that crypto is more noise than real money.
It's about 0.5% of all currency. Not a serious bubble yet.
AI is much scarier. Even at this primitive stage it knows how to be deceptive, it will be uncontrollable.
Zhao missed how the criminals were using his crypto, hope he learned his lesson.

Oh, man, seriously?

How could he NOT know how criminals were using his untraceable, imaginary money?

That has about as much credibility as the piano player at the whorehouse saying he had no idea what was going on upstairs!

The problem with something like Crypto is that it can set up a domino effect, particularly when other stocks are already overvalued.

Here's the donor list for the White House ballroom renovation SO FAR. These individuals and corporations will be proud to have their names prominently displayed in the exquisite ballroom that will serve Presidents well for the next 100 years. :113:
The same people who bought Trump and the white house.
Scripps News has obtained a list of the donors behind President Trump's ballroom from a White House official:
LOL.

Let's see if they follow through or pull a Trump.

Zhao was running a business buying/selling crypto, (Binance).
How could he know who was doing the buying/selling?
They were just account numbers from any of 10 different markets.

Gee, these people who want to buy and sell untraceable money are definitely on the up and up.

Crypto has no other real purpose than to fly under the radar. the whole thing is a scam.

Your Trump fascist cult doesn't give a shit what he does because you're a bunch of delusional bedwetters unable to think for yourselves.

You'll never get the stink of his ass off your face.
Chimper’s obsession withTrump’s ass is getting worse.

The OP is an intellectually dishonest rhetorical device known as reductio ad absurdum. It's used by both ends of the political spectrum. The goal is to reduce a much larger and more important issue to one small issue that is (relatively) easily dismissed.

Americans across the political spectrum -- not just Democrats, as we all know -- are looking at the totality of what this person in the White House is doing, and this destruction of part of the White House itself is just another drop in the hurricane. It's added to the constant lies, non-stop pugilism, threats, insults, intimidation, grift, corruption and dismissal of any number of normal rules, laws and decency that has made an ugly mockery of both the office of the President and the United States.

In a vacuum, by itself, the destruction of the White House bothers many across the political spectrum. But the bigger picture is much, much more troubling.
Gotta link to the White House being DESTROYED?

I say you are a lying sack of shit Mac1958

Trump sued by preservation group seeking to halt White House ballroom construction

A nonprofit group tasked with preserving U.S. historical sites sued President Donald Trump on Friday, seeking to halt construction of his massive White House ballroom until the project receives the proper federal approvals.

“No president is legally allowed to tear down portions of the White House without any review whatsoever — not President Trump, not President Biden, and not anyone else,” the National Trust for Historic Preservation in the United States said in the lawsuit in Washington, D.C., federal court.

“And no president is legally allowed to construct a ballroom on public property without giving the public the opportunity to weigh in,” the suit said.

I would personally contribute $100 to a fund for the reconstruction of the East Wing.

So? No one is supposed to do this. You guys have allowed Trump to do anything he wants, and it's never an issue. So when he starts sending troops to Venezuela, is that going to be another non-issue to you?

/----/ I fully support sending troops to kick out a dictator who lost the election and refuses to leave. That assh*le ruined Venezuela. Her people deserve to live in freedom.
