1.They know. Every one of the liars….er, Democrats, are totally aware.
Even if they try to hide the truth from themselves, the charade is destroyed once they are asked to give some examples of Trump policies that they voted against. Or new policies from Biden that they voted for. You’ll get the same response you’d get if you asked them to name the books they’ve read that informed their geopolitical views.
These are neither smart, nor honest, people.
2. Seen accurately, this election is reminiscent of the public discussion that took place back in 1970 when Nixon nominated Court of Appeals Judge G. Harrold Carswell of Florida to the United States Supreme Court, and there was an outcry that Carswell was not much of a jurist, and certainly not of the caliber required for the nation’s highest tribunal.
Speaking during March 1970 in favor of a U.S. Supreme Court nominee, Senator Roman L. Hruska of Nebraska said:
“So what if he is mediocre? There are a lot of mediocre judges and people and lawyers. They are entitled to a little representation, aren't they? We can't have all Brandeises, Cardozos, and Frankfurters and stuff like that there.”
I suppose, by the same token, we can't have lots of Reagans and Trumps.
Shockingly, the speech failed to persuade Senator Hruska's colleagues, and the nominee withdrew.
What an excellent description of Quid Pro Joe…..except that at least Carswell hadn’t sold his services to a foreign enemy, too.
3. Essayist Michael Goodwin dips a toe in the discussion with an excellent literary allusion.
“A Fox News poll finds that 36 percent of all voters believe the election was stolen from Trump, with nearly seven out of 10 Republicans sharing that view. But if the election was stolen, who stole it?
For my money, the best analogy is Agatha Christie’s “Murder on the Orient Express.” Everybody had a motive, and everybody plunged the knife.
Democrats clearly wanted to erase the states’ guardrails on ballot integrity, and they did, sometimes with GOP assistance or indifference.
Then there’s Big Tech, whose censors always lean in one direction. Their political donations and news blackouts are two sides of the same agenda.
The Deep State was a zealous backstabber. More than 50 former intelligence officials, many of whom probably wanted jobs in a Biden administration, signed a letter suggesting the Post reports on Hunter Biden smacked of Russian disinformation. The signers included former CIA chiefs John Brennan, Gen. Michael Hayden, Leon Panetta and Michael Morell, all of whom turned out to be wrong. Some spooks they are.” Time to call in a special counsel on Hunter and Joe Biden: Goodwin
An amazingly large and diverse line-up arraigned against the American people.
And they were more willing to work at it.
