Don't give up the face masks

Working at TSA and having 30 years under FERS are two different things.

For example some my have transferred in from other fedreal agencies (such as FAA secuirity) or those with prior military service with honorable discharges who are non-retirees whose military service is creditable under FERS.

I'm sure your response will be a personal insult, so have at it.

WW
No insult. Sorry. You are correct, but my point still stands. TSA has not been in existence that long. Only a few thousand people qualified the way you described.

I had 12.5 years government service when I applied for TSA back in 2012. They called and told me to report for training on the day I started a new teaching position that gave me over 23 years credit for my military service and teaching experience. For the first time in my career, I made $53K a year based on the 6 months I was there.

"I know of someone that retired at 56 with full social security benefits plus pension, why you see so many 'younger' people retiring from a federal government position."

No, they didn't retire at 56 with full Social Security. You don't get that until FRA (Full Retirement Age)

What the FERS Annuity Supplement does is attempts to mimic SS reduced benefits until age 62 when the individual can choose to either take early/reduced Social Security or delay SS until FRA, but either way (as you note, it stops at 62).

WW

It's certainly possible. All of it much better than what the private sector gets.

For Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS) employees, the Minimum Retirement Age (MRA) is 55–57 (depending on birth year), but "full" unreduced retirement requires age 62 with 5 years of service, age 60 with 20 years, or MRA with 30 years. For those born in 1970 or later, the MRA is 57.

FERS Minimum Retirement Age (MRA)
  • Before 1948: 55
  • 1948–1969: Incremental increase (55 + 2 months per year)
  • 1970 or later: 57

Unreduced (Full) Immediate Retirement Eligibility
  • Age 62: 5 years of service
  • Age 60: 20 years of service
  • MRA: 30 years of service

No, the public should be the people who's safety is paramount, not public servants. Any steps that make the public less safe must be opposed, period, unless you want to live in a fascist state.

Much of the time the safety of people, is threatened by the people themselves.
Every time your side harass ICE agents in the streets, people that are gathered are placed at risk of being injured, or killed.
Take the two people killed in Minnesota. Had they not been there obstructing and harassing agents, they would still be alive today.

Yeah. Actually thugs only feel safe hiding behind masks.

You mean these thugs? Can we ban them from wearing masks too?

That is EXACTLY why ICE needs to wear masks. The Democrats have convinced their maniacal base that ICE agents are GESTAPO and have put their lives in danger. Just like their relentless claims that Donald Trump is HITLER nearly got his head blown off in Butler Pa.

Dems are doing this to stop immigration enforcement. If they can intimidate the officers, they can reduce deportations.

Yeah. Actually thugs only feel safe hiding behind masks.
Yeah. Bullshit. Anybody who is in danger of being targeted by someone else because of who they are would feel safer with a face mask. People whose job is to enforce the law should have that luxury well actual criminals should not. How's that?

So maybe you'd like to make witness protection illegal too? That also involves concealing people's identities so they won't be targeted. And I wouldn't expect that to make any sense to you. And I wouldn't expect you to admit it if it did.

If they know this will happen, and they are afraid, they shouldn't take the job. Americans deserve enforcement with integrity.

I definitely support very harsh penalties for doxing police and government authorities, but all of these government employees should all be required to have ID, badge numbers, and have their identity on full display to the public.

Well, how about we put those who doxx agents in prison? You have to remember, it’s not just Americans they are trying to hide their identity from.

I’ll say it like this, if the bill passes and an agent or their family are killed because of it, all of the people who voted for it should be brought up on murder charges

When you get a 'penalty' for doxxing an officer who was hurt or killed because of said doxxing, it's a little too late don't you think?

Why do you need to see their faces? I'm sure they have ID and badge numbers to present if asked, you have zero need to see their faces. I guess you don't believe in under cover police operations either?

Nobody in public has a need to know the identity of an ice agent, they want this information for the sole purpose of investigating imitation

The only people who need to know the identities are those involved in the arrest, and they can have that information once they are booked in.

The ICE thugs are untrained for the jobs they have been sent to do. It is imperative they be accountable for their over-the-top egregious behavior.

When a coward can hide behind a mask, he is incentivized to act just like the thugs they have become.

No cop anywhere wears a mask except these chickenshit Keystone Kopps.

The NYPD deals with more assaults on their persons in a single day than ICE does in an entire year.

The Capitol Police endured more injuries on one day by Trump's Terrorists than ICE has through all time.

These dogs for why ICE needs mask just don't hunt.

Ice agents are trained for their job, but they are not trained in crowd control, that is the job of state and local police, who are refusing to render that service. Blame them.

Who said law enforcement is supposed to be a "safe," job?

That’s a silly argument, while danger is expected, you don’t intentionally increase that danger by taking away protections.

Dems are doing this to stop immigration enforcement. If they can intimidate the officers, they can reduce deportations.
.

What nobody talks about is now the arrests and deportation continue full speed, no matter what the animals think they're doing about it.

.

A lie. Why do you lie? It's like a disease. A mental illness.

No one is opposed to deporting violent criminals. But when ICE starts snatching citizens off the street and gunning Americans down in the streets, it is directly correlated to a total lack of accountability.

Moron.

Yeah, a lack of accountability by the democrat police chiefs who, in order to spite ice agents, refused to have their police provide crowd control, which is one of the jobs they are trained for.

Maybe stop having them be petty spite filled haters and do their jobs and people will stop getting hurt.

Police face violent criminals all the time and don't have face masks, why not support that too? why not support a new rule that every person in any kind of law enforcement role like Cops, State Troopers, Highway Patrol, DEA, FBI, can if they want, wear a face mask? hell what about Judges and Jurors too?

Why are you so worried...

Because police officers typically don’t have thousands of leftist agitators threatening them and cartels gunning for them
