They are fully funded. Social Security has a Trust Fund. They have cash in the bank. They have a cash surplus. This by design. Congress determines the tax rate. A simple increase in the Fica Tax or a increase in the Fica Cap will return Soc Sec to saving money. Congress hasn't, this is intentional.

I have car. When I drive it I have a constant gas flow deficit. Then I stop for gas and for a while have a constant cash flow surplus.

What amazes me is the intentional stupidity. It is what comes of living in constant fear and anger. It damages the brain.
