Donald sure is like real smart. Maybe he knows America was named after an Italian.

Republicans generally do not know history, and the small bit they do know are almost always either flatly incorrect or badly misunderstood.
It is not that they don’t know history but that they just write their own when history becomes inconvenient

Anyone who knows history knows that every authoritarian leader eventually lands on some version of: "I am the state".

We are nearly there now.

Is there a point to this rant? We are lucky that we don't live on a continent named Vespucci. The name "America" was first listed in a 1500's map. The McKinley administration was around in the 1890's and he wasn't Italian.

Dude, how many authoritarian leaders actively cut the size of their government?

LOL And the tool you put in the WH thought he was having conversations with Helmut Kohl and François Mitterrand.

Every last one of them removed the people, programs, and departments they didn't like.

Reality, Son.
Nope They executed people, lots of them, but not one has ever voluntarily reduced the size of his government or given any power ($)back to the people)

Reality says you are wrong.

Your record is still perfect!
Rather tell that you can provide a single example. Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, Pol Pot .... Which ones cut their own power?

WTF do you think the "night of the long knives" was? His firings were somewhat more permanent but still basically the same thing and with less fallout.
