Since I stopped watching the NFL this year, I have been astonished to see how much free time I have on the weekends.

Think about it, football is an all day gig on Sunday now, after church.

Shit, I got twice the weekend now and spend it with my wife doing things.

Been great for the marriage, at least so far, but I'll probably wind up fucking it all up somehow.

Football is a childs game played by grown men for more money than is shameful.

I couldnt care less about that insane crap any more, and love life more for it.

Nothing more exciting than watching a QB take a knee or spike the ball. As sports go, it`s garbage but it gets high ratings because of the time of year they play and the gambling. I bought 2 squares for the Steeler game Thanksgiving since I`ll be at a relatives home and I`ll be forced to watch it. 3 hours of commercials interrupted by 9 minutes of actual playing. I can`t wait....to go home.

You`ve never watched an NFL game? Oh...the team I used to watch has 6 Super Bowl rings including the free one they got when they played the Seahawks in Super Bowl XL.

Just DVR the games and take out the commercials. Besides, commercial breaks are good so you can get food or go to the bathroom or whatever. All sports games that are televised are going to have commercials. Those are their sponsors and that is how they are able to televise the games so that we all don't have to pay to see them.

Speaking of the Texans... I flew to Houston in 2012 to see the Ravens play and they got crushed! Texans dominated. But Texans fans could not have been nicer. Great place to see a game. But 2012 had a happy ending when I flew to New Orleans to watch the Ravens win the Super Bowl!!!
