Donald Trump’s son approached major media investor about setting up Trump TV network
"Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner reportedly approached a major media investor about setting up a Trump television network after the presidential election.
The basic concept is that Trump’s media company would cater to the alt-right and other conservatives dissatisfied with more conventional right-wing media."

Thoughts? would this be a successful enterprise, or would it fail like some of his past businesses (hotels, steaks, casinos etc)

Wise move. Even FOX is moving left. They'd corner the market. As to past failures you have to chalk it up to Trump taking risks like any entrepreneur. Most have been winners.

Oh, well damn. There was just a thread here about this possibly being the real reason for him even running for president. Interesting.

somebody said this awhile ago.... that this was his plan along, that his whole campaign has been a publicity stunt for his new reality TV network

I heard about this back in June. I posted on it. Stone Phillips and Elizabeth Vargas were supposedly attached to it along with that guy from "To Catch a Predator" Chris Jansen. Seems sort or Ironic that Trump was in the pilot for it. LOL.

The big surprising thing was that supposedly it would not be all news. It would have what sounded like a biography show on it hosted by Patricia Heaton from Everybody Loves Raymond and The Middle and Pat Sajak from Wheel of Fortune.

There would be sports segment on weekends that showed 'higher end" sporting events like yatch races and polo matches too.

The gold for the network would be the "modularity" of it though. I could see the radio nut jobs being treated like the acts in Vegas. They give Trump a fee and keep whatever ad revenue they themselves generate.

anyway, all of that was hersay. Probably goes to show that one shouldn't listen to internet radio at night.

It would be enormously successful. The GOP base is not interested in news or journalism. Just get some Trump U bimbo's, steal away Hannity, and tell the viewers what they want to hear, and nothing else.
