I was amazed when that 1400 page monstrosity of a CR bill was magically reduced to a pretty clean, mostly useful 120 page document displaying restraint and legislative responsibility and competence.
We have Donald J. Trump aided and abetted by his brilliant DOGE team, Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy and responsible legislators to thank for that. Even all the House Democrats voted for it because it didn't remove the debt ceiling. Thirty Four Republicans voted against it because it didn't remove the debt ceiling and/or did not cut spending.
Trump as he is wont to do did not insist on the debt ceiling issue in order to get the compromise. So we'll have another ugly debt ceiling fight in March--something Trump hoped to avoid--and the Democrats and irresponsible Republicans will hope to be able to pad that with all kinds of expensive and unnecessary things. And the debt ceiling will likely be raised again as it always is. But there's a new Sheriff in town and a new way of doing things.

DAVID MARCUS: De facto President Trump's handling of shutdown threat was a masterclass
Columnist David Marcus credits incoming Presidetn Trump with averting a government shutdown - while shedding 1,400 pages of wasteful pork from Congress's budget proposal.www.foxnews.com
Some key points from the article:
". . .In the space of just a few days, Trump’s pressure on the Congress, including siccing his Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) attack dogs Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy on reckless spending, turned a 1,500 page monstrosity of a bill into a slim 120-page banger of basic necessities, including disaster relief and help for farmers. . ."
". . .(Speaker) Johnson believed that enough Republicans would simply sigh and go along with the continuing resolution that he negotiated with the Democrats, and there was some logic to allowing sleeping dogs to lie until Trump takes over 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and Republicans take the senate in January.
But a funny thing happened on the way to the bill’s passage. At Trump’s behest, Musk and Ramaswamy began posting on X all the deep flaws of the legislation, and there were some doozies. . ."
". . .Within hours of the torrent of posts from the dynamic duo of DOGE, the American people began to wake up to what was in the bill and object. A trickle of GOP lawmakers flipped from yes to no on the bill, and with that, the stage was set for our soon-to-be commander in chief.
With the target softened, Trump tore into the bill, going so far as to threaten lawmakers who voted for it with primary challenges. Trump even indicated that Johnson’s speakership could be in doubt if he did not get in line. . ."
The rest is history. Perhaps it is just a blip in history but it signals that Trump is far more the President now than Biden is or ever was and emphasizes a bright new hope for a much better America.
Ah. Leon's tweets don't get different treatment then? That you think this was "orchestrated" is amusing...Twaffler is chaos theory on crack.
Nothing happens if his followers sit on their hands...Where's any call to action?Ah. Leon's tweets don't get different treatment then?

They don’t know what was in the bill and they don’t know what was removed. We really are in two different realities.
It was a "master class" in failure.I was amazed when that 1400 page monstrosity of a CR bill was magically reduced to a pretty clean, mostly useful 120 page document displaying restraint and legislative responsibility and competence.

And they don't even realize that they lost, because they've been told they won and objective reality means northing to the cult. They don’t know what was in the bill and they don’t know what was removed.
All that matters is the sense they “won” something.
tRump is continuing a career of failure.ever read the Art of the Deal comrade ?? demand the moon and then settle for the clouds ! Trump is giving a master class in leadership .. sorry that your dear leaders weren't able to continue the cover up and push the puppet Briben over the finish line for 4 more yrs of unelected officials running things behind the scenes .. your party is the realm threat to democracy .
Imagine what Trump is going to get accomplished he actually IS the 47th President!!! Who is President BTW? Brandon? Bigone? Can't remember his name.I was amazed when that 1400 page monstrosity of a CR bill was magically reduced to a pretty clean, mostly useful 120 page document displaying restraint and legislative responsibility and competence.

/—-/ I’m seeing on social media that the democRATs have changed their rant from Trump is Hitler, Trump is a dictator to Musk is president.Masterclass? It wasn't even freshman class. Elon got what he wanted after Donnie fell inline.
He got nothing.OH NO! Trump only got 99% of what he wanted and not 100%.
WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!![]()
AnythingTrump rarely getseverythinghe wants in the art of the deal.
This is an example of Trump preventing accomplishments.Imagine what Trump is going to get accomplished he actually IS the 47th President!!! Who is President BTW? Brandon? Bigone? Can't remember his name.![]()
Yep, and to take advantage of any chance/excuse to praise their beloved hero. They don’t know what was in the bill and they don’t know what was removed.
All that matters is the sense they “won” something.
We were kinda surprised he got shoved aside so easily./—-/ I’m seeing on social media that the democRATs have changed their rant from Trump is Hitler, Trump is a dictator to Musk is president.
Of course this idiotic talking point will fail too.
They did so because of Musk and Ramaswamy putting the information out on X and those posts being shared and reshared thousands and thousands of times, copied and pasted onto message boards and other social media sites, reported on Fox News, News Max, and other media that is still actually reporting news. I shared several of them myself.Except that no responsibility was appointed...People just organically got up off their asses and blew up the phone lines and email boxes.
All of that was organic....To this very moment, I've seen no post where either made any call to action. They did so because of Musk and Ramaswamy putting the information out on X and those posts being shared and reshared thousands and thousands of times, copied and pasted onto message boards and other social media sites, reported on Fox News, News Max, and other media that is still actually reporting news. I think a new wind is blowing and we are seeing a new phenomenon develop, i.e. government being exposed for what it is actually doing instead of what it wants the sheeple to think it is doing. Information is a powerful thing. And Trump has been blessed with some powerful allies who have nothing to lose by getting that information out there.
Much of it false information. Not that any of you cared or bothered to check. They did so because of Musk and Ramaswamy putting the information out on X and those posts being shared and reshared thousands and thousands of times, copied and pasted onto message boards and other social media sites, reported on Fox News, News Max, and other media that is still actually reporting news. Not really organic when it’s started by a billionaire with his own social media platform. All of that was organic....To this very moment, I've seen no post where either made any call to action.
The shitposters and memelords took it all upon themselves.
