The governor still rules, the police still enforce the laws, the military has no interaction.

I do recall saying (eg) IMHO it is a bad policy for the president to have a personal police force at his command.

IMHO...the best solution would be to build forts along the border and increase the bennies to the National Guard members. (like having a 4 day week)

I am betting they would have no problem getting Spanish speaking recruits to fill the ranks.

We may never know "why"; however, it's entirely possible that his Administration did not find it necessary.

Blacks burning down and looting urban properties isn't exactly a new thing and is relatively easily contained and neutralized.

An invasion of 20,000,000 and their embedding deep amongst the general population is a different kind of emergency.

Far more insidious and difficult to contain than gaggles of idiot hood rats torching a few city blocks here-and-there.

I lived in DC in 1980 and saw burned out blds from the 60's riots. (or so I was told) Burning your hood doesn't make sense to me.

I am all for the National Guard doing it because they are under the Governors command. OMB does not need his own personal army.

Have you ever heard of the GOV returning power once they seize it ? That is what drives the NRA membership. I worked in a gun shop and those people are all a bunch of nuts. But thier thing is if we give up any 2nd Amend right...what is next.

Active military is necessary because of the military assets the cartel uses. The police can't go up against a fully equipped army.

Yeah, the Minnesota National Guard is going home for the weekend from the border? Do you have a lick of sense, or do you spew inane comments? Many years ago, my National Guardsmen who worked for me in their civilian job were in Texas for 6 months. They never came home to KY one time. Some came back, quit, and joined the Border Patrol.
