Don t Let Anybody Tell You That Businesses Create Jobs

Depends on what you want to call corporate subsidies. Sweetheart loans to Boeing are subsidies. Non recourse loans to Solyndra are subsidies. Allowing companies to deduct costs of doing business are not subsidies.

Subsidies are financial aid. Deductions ARE financial aid because they allow you to reduce your tax thus saving you money.

It's different when you deal with a business because income is not the same as revenue.

Both are money which can be spent.
I think the Rabbi is a quibbler.
I think you're an ignoramus. If you think slinging dope is somehow a model for all business then you used too much of your own product.
It was an analogy.

Keep filing your quarterlies and subsidizing the non-productive in order to keep your deductions and your complex tax code.

Apparently you are content with things the way they are.

SO according to you getting fired from your job is also a subsidy because it lowers your tax bill due to reduced income.
QED, you are a total nincompoop.
Another nail in the coffin of Naught Percenter.

BTW, running a $150,00 a year(back in the day money) indoor operation is hardly "slinging dope".

Huh?
Labor is a cost of doing business
Interest is a cost of doing business
Credit card fees are a cost of doing business.
You really want to eliminate those deductions from revenue?

For business, labor costs and State/local taxes and fees should be deductible dollar for dollar from federal tax. That's it.

I still think lower rates and cut all the bullshit and simplify things is a better option.

Unless of course your business is tax preparation.

Cost of doing business should be passed on to customers, not taxpayers.

Aren't customers taxpayers?
Customers are the ultimate taxpayer.

After all the smoke and mirror Rabbi seems to like, bottom line is , the customer pays it all one way or the other.
Thats true now. Tax is paid only on actual income from an operation. If the operation earns no income it pays no tax.
What you seem to want is to have even unprofitable businesses paying tax on something--you're not very clear what.

I don't see where you get that?

No profit, no tax.

BTW, what I want is America, all of America, to pay its fuckin' debt and not pass it on to our kids.

OK, so what do you deduct from the gross?

No, those deductions are a subsidy to business.
Wow, are you stupid.

I placed solar on my property in Coronado, Ca and received a (collectively) 65% federal and State tax subsidy lowering the cost for me.....a consumer.

The fuckin' cost of doing business, and you pass it to the customer not the taxpayer.

What is so hard to grasp about this?

The middle class has been getting away with murder, as the high income class has been paying the lion's share of the tax bill.
So yes. Broadening the tax base is the way to go.
I see you are avoiding all the other issues here.

I paid 4% effective (actual) federal tax in 2013. What was your effective federal tax rate?
