The Justice Department has officially closed its investigation into the infamous killing of Emmett Till without federal charges for a second time, leaving only more questions after a potentially significant claim from one of the last living witnesses led investigators on a fresh hunt for evidence.

In 2017, professor Timothy Tyson unearthed what appeared to be a key piece of evidence -- a recantation from the woman at the center of the case who had accused Till of making sexual advances at her over 60 years ago.
The most damning statements Tyson attributed to Donham were not recorded or transcribed, Tyson took some notes of their conversation, but he could not provide a firm timeline of when her confession reportedly happened. "There remains considerable doubt as to the credibility of (Donham's) original account of what happened inside the store," the DOJ memo went on to explain. However, "there is no witness the government could now call to disprove her account."
To recap -- Emmett Till was this; what some "Conservatives" would call a 14 yr-old young thug from Chicago who came down to Mississippi to visit relatives...Maybe his family down in Mississippi should have done a better job of teaching this kid to know his place......anyhoo -- as the story goes...he whistled at a white woman....the husband found out about it....he and others went to the home where Emmett was staying....pulled him from the home "probably making a citizens arrest like those McMicheals tried to do" -- and murdered and mutilated Emmett....because, America and freedom and stuff...
Well, not only did the suspect whistle at the victim; he also sexually assaulted her by grabbing her hand and telling her he had been with white women before....of course he had to be killed for doing something like that....an example needed to be set to keep the others in line.....Witnesses at the time claimed this didn't happen and this professor claims she recanted the story -- but now it seems that she was telling the truth -- therefore this establishes a reasonable self-defense cause for killing him....luckily, the justice system back then was far more fair to white men than it is now -- and the 2 men charged with killing him were later found not guilty...even tho the 2 men admitted to killing him...Now we can finally put this to rest for good....
