I wouldn't doubt some of the posters on this board are PART of that gravy train.

Some are, but sadly, most are so indoctrinated that they will accept any amount of corruption on their side of the aisle, even if it negatively affects them. In their minds, the end always justifies the means. Party above all. It is a cult they have been a part of since grade school.

As we explained many, many times, who does and does not get sensitive information is entirely the purview of the president.

No matter how much the little junior Deep State minions hate it, no matter how many USAID bought out journalists rant against it, Donald Trump is president with all the powers and perogatives that other presidents have.

Elon Musk is a Special Government Employee, which is not a new thing that Trump invented.

Special Government Employees

A "special Government employee" (or "SGE") is an officer or employee in the Executive Branch of the Federal Government who is appointed to perform important, but limited, services to the Government, with or without compensation, for a period not to exceed 130 days during any period of 365 consecutive days. This status is important because the ethics rules apply differently to individuals who qualify as SGEs versus other Federal employees and officials.

Show me anywhere that says that the president cannot provide sensitive information to an SGE. If you can't, stop making up rules, or blindly following liars.
In other words, Trump can do anything he wants and it is fine, no matter the consequences, right? He is above the law!!!

What Trump has done is illegal.

He has given Musk access to sensitive information that Musk does not have a right to have. Musk has not been yet been given clearance to receive sensitive information, which is a necessity before he can do that. Musk was not elected or confirmed by Congress either. He is not holding a Cabinet position, meaning Congress does not have to approve him but then again, he is not allowed to get sensitive information without a security clearance. This is unconstitutional and an abuse of power.

Elon Musk does not have access to sensitive taxpayer info ...

There is a silver lining. trump is overreaching more than anyone thought he would. When he approval rating drops to 35-38%, repubs in Congress who are in swing states and districts are going to start pushing back as the midterms approach. It is the same with Dems. They also occasionally overreach and the midterms balance out the extremes.

If trump continues to give musk unfettered access and power, he is going to see his poll numbers dive. trump has a problem named musk.

I'm pretty sure when this is all said and done, the chances of the democrats in power will go the way of the Edsel, with the American people.

I totally agree with your statement but what also has to be added to the last paragraph is that Musk is not the only problem. Trump himself is doing problematic-for-Trump things.

So you support him being above the law and doing whatever he wants. You support a tyrant
He is in no way above the law. He holds a position in government that is authorized by law. There’s a whole congressional committee to provide oversight to DOGE.

Doing things that you personally do not like =/= being above the law.

By the way, which of his actions do you find most disagreeable and what specific laws do they break?

We will see if he is doing things within the law. Already there are lawsuits against him for what he has done here in 2025 and already on Judge overturned his action on birthright citizenship.

He is doing things that require congress approval and he has not gotten that yet.

He is acting 100% like a tyrant.

As far as what I disagree the most? He is destroying democracy!!!

He is doing things like no other president has ever done in 248 years our Democratic Republic has been in existence. You may like what he is doing and think it is the right thing to do and I am not going to debate that issue now. What I will say is that for 248 years and using the Democratic process, we became the #1 nation in the world. The Democratic process has its bad things (like everything else does) but it has worked for us. We are accustomed to it and it has generally worked to the benefit of all. Changing that is a problem in and of itself. It could make us better but it could also destroy us and the fact is that it is a GAMBLE that there is no reason to take. We were well enough without putting all of that at risk.

What Trump brings is a sink OR swim situation. Are you willing to take that risk?

So just a bunch of vague accusations and no specifics. No specific actions he took, and no specific laws he supposedly violated.

Exactly as I expected.

This is what is happening.

Based on all your posts, you are ready to pull the trigger, right?

We will see if he is doing things within the law.
You think Trump did these things without advice and consent of WH Counsel?

It could make us better but it could also destroy us and the fact is that it is a GAMBLE that there is no reason to take.
So you don't know why these actions are being taken. $37 trillion in debt and our interest payments are now 25% of our spending...duh?

Already there are lawsuits against him for what he has done here in 2025 and already on Judge overturned his action on birthright citizenship.
Tell us how do you get to SCOTUS.
He is doing things that require congress approval and he has not gotten that yet.
Please list those 'things'.
We are accustomed to it and it has generally worked to the benefit of all.
What you are accustomed to is the democrats stealing our taxes and giving them out, without our knowledge, all over the world, not too many see that as a good thing.
He is destroying democracy!!!
You need to look real hard at the democrats.............why do you think they're coming unglued?
