Here is the language in the bill requiring the release of the Epstein files that some are concerned about.

"The Attorney General may withhold or redact the segregable portions of records that....would jeopardize an active federal investigation or ongoing prosecution, provided that such withholding is narrowly tailored and temporary;" (Note to mods....The quote is taken from a screenshot I saw on a news show. All In with Chris Hayes)

That's what the buzz is about. I think the calculous here depends on how damning the files are to Don.

If there is something inculpatory in the files for Don then all eyes turn to Jay Clayton, the US Attorney in the SDNY office put in charge of the investigation.........one might say deflection.........in to Epstein and prominent D's. https://www.politico.com/news/2025/11/14/trump-epstein-investigation-department-of-justice-00651851

Which follows a curious pattern the regime has of putting the investigative cart before the horse. Typically, investigations are conducted after evidence of a crime has been revealed. Like Jack Smith's investigations of trump. The regime has a habit of initiating investigations in the hope of finding a crime. For........you know........political reasons.

If he plays some kind of game, it will almost certainly be because he thinks there's some bad shit in there and will do anything to hide it, no matter how bad it looks if he does.

If this goes through smoothly, he figures he's fine, then we can concentrate on nailing the perps. Massie says there's at least 20, if not more. Ex-Prince Andrew and Summers so far.

So it seems we'll have a much clearer picture pretty quickly here.

Of note… the DOJ just reopened its investigation into this (why exactly?) that would allow them to withhold releases based on “ongoing investigation “ claims

Evidence in the files that is problematic to Don would have to be very bad indeed for The Following to turn on him after all they have forgiven him for. Treason, rape, stealing from a charity, schtoinking a porn star during an adulterous affair, refusing to comply with a subpoena for stolen classified docs, it's a hideous list.

They've dismissed all of it.

OMG, stop with the Epstein threads already. If there was anything there Biden would have released them already, duh.
Maybe Joe was concerned there was something in there about the time he and Epstein got together and ate those babies?

I keep coming back to the question if there is nothing there why did trump try so hard to block their release? Like defying a subpoena.

Yeah, the cultiest of the culty cultists aren't going anywhere. They just don't have the inner strength to admit how badly they've been conned.

Well, he is the messiah after all, so there's that.

There may have been a DOJ investigation, or maybe a judge blocked their release, who knows, but they are released now, you should be happy. A better question is, Biden didn't release them, why not?

Chris Hays is a supreme dumbass…😂

Thune denies Johnson’s demand for Epstein bill changes

Johnson said after House passage Tuesday that he would “insist upon” changes.

“I talked to John Thune over the weekend. I just texted him. We’re going to get together. We’ll talk about this,” Johnson told reporters as he left the floor. “There’s an easy way to amend the legislation to make sure that we don’t do permanent damage to the justice system. And I’m going to insist upon that.”

Asked if he would press Trump to veto the bill if the Senate didn’t amend it, Johnson said he would “cross that bridge” if necessary. He also raised “national security” concerns about the bill Tuesday.

Too late for a veto. trump said he'll sign the bill. But there are ways to employ some sabotage of its full release.

We disagree. The better question is why trump defied a subpoena for the file's release.
