If this guy's recent history is to be believed, he is suffering from a form of PTSD not assocaited with combat.
He may have been weak emotionally to begin with and then the stuff with his kid and a local government that just blows off his very real concerns about his son...
Yeah, not political. The guy just snapped.

I don't know what triggered this guy to do what he did, but it sure wasn't Trump or MAGA who do not advocate violence to settle anything and certainly have nothing against Mormons. Apart from the feds researching motive, intent, any corroboration or participation by others, no federal intervention is necessary as this seems to be an isolated incident and the local police acted quickly and judiciously to eliminate the threat.
