The fuel standards that were put into place are unrealistic and would end up costing the consumer much more. The working class people would be hurt the most. The monster thing is just silly. California needs to be messed with. California is the worst state for manufactures and multi state distributors to deal with. Many manufacturers must alter their current product specifically to adhere to California standards that are driven by over regulation. This makes manufacturing inefficient and raises the cost of the product not only for California but for all the states. The consumer is hit with higher prices, the state doesn't mind though because it receives more tax dollars. Many Multi state distributors must inventory specific products for California. The distributor cant move inventory around from state to state as needed to manage inventory investment. This makes their inventory and logistic cost go up. Again the loser is the consumer in the entire footprint that distributor does business. While California has some beautiful areas, I personally like Carmel the most. The business climate is horrible.
